I'm a pretty low-key, easy to please kind of person who enjoys life's simple pleasures; a good book, a new recipe, a phone call from a friend, snail mail, beaches, bonfires, being on the lake, spending time with family and friends, and listening to live music. My friends would describe me as witty, generous, sassy, spontaneous, loving, and resilient. And since sarcasm tends to run in the family, I've always appreciated a good *** I look for in a guy is someone who has outstanding character, a great sense of humor, someone who takes care of himself, both physically and emotionally, and someone who enjoys going to new places and trying new things. I believe a good, solid friendship has to be the basis for any relationship, and in order to build that relationship, there has to be curiosity, wonderment, and a spark to *** flame. I'm not the type who flits from one guy to another seeking only a physical relationship. I'm looking for my best friend; someone who allows me to be myself, who pushes me to become a better person, and who will be there for the fun times and for those those times that cause life's greatest challenges.Like most people, I really enjoy traveling, and learning about other people's cultures and customs...or so it seemed; just ask Traci! By far, I loved Spain the most....the Mediterranean coast is absolutely gorgeous, and the architecture and antiquity is outstanding. I really need to dust off my passport and make a concerted effort to leave work behind for a week and set sail for a new destination.I live a healthy lifestyle in terms of diet and exercise, but I"m not a crazed fanatic about either. I'm fortunate that good genetics has allowed me to get by on 3 workouts a week, and I really enjoy swimming, pilates, yoga, walking, and dancing. Hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening, playing Scrabble, reading, and listening to live music...especially the blues. I"m not a big TV watcher, but if I do, I prefer to be educated along the way...NatGeo, the History Channel, Discovery, TLC, HGTV etc. You'll never catch me watching reality TV....nope, never!     I'm a city girl and love city life, but I also enjoy the peacefulness of the country - especially long drives along quiet country roads. I like to be anywhere with beaches and mountains, and love traveling to new places to see new things and meet all kinds of people. It's fun to meet people and talk to them to find out what makes them tick, but it's best to sit with old friends who know you so well you don't have to talk at all. I'm very kind hearted and slow to anger, but when I do get mad it's best to stay clear awhile! :) Strange thing is, I really don't like anyone to be mad at me or anyone else ... no mean people, please. I'm an animal lover ... I think my dogs are better people than most people I know. I like any kind of music, trying new and different things, going fast in a boat or walking slowly in a park ... and swinging so high on a swing that you almost fall off. I want to meet someone who makes me laugh and who likes being with me and isn't afraid to tell me so. I like people on the inside best, outside appearances aren't that important ... I don't care for shallow people, anyway, they make me feel impatient. Life is wonderful and I'm not looking for anything or anyone specific, but meeting someone who likes me for me would be nice. Hmm. I think once you know you want to talk to someone to get to know them better, the best first date is somewhere quiet where you can talk while focusing on learning who the person really is. Sometimes you don't have to talk a lot to find that out. The loud, fun dates around lots of people can come later, tho (not that visiting and getting familiar isn't fun, too). Anywhere conducive to a personal conversation doing something relaxing is best ... it can be lunch or a simple dinner, followed by a walk along the Boardwalk (how come no one wants to do that?) and a ride on the trolley. Nice.
