A few years ago, I decided to pursue a long-time dream of nursing school. After pre-requisites, night classes, clinical rotations on the weekends, and a board exam, I am excited to begin working as an oncology nurse. My career path has afforded me a unique perspective. My patients have taught me how to appreciate the little things. Bike rides past wild flowers. The way that butter melts into the crevices of a hot English muffin. A beautiful sunset. They've reminded me to leap. And to take big bites. Some days I'm better at these things than others. I'm a "J" on the Myers-..I hike, work in my yard and on my house, spend time with my dog (an ***year old yellow lab I rescued almost four years ago), haunt the farmers' markets, and hostess dinner parties. And I want to read and write more now that I'm done with school. I'm also constantly trying to perfect my grandma's biscotti recipe; cinnamon pecan is the most recent flavor added to my repertoire. I recently finished a kitchen/laundry remodel - incredibly traumatic! - so cooking, baking and hostessing are becoming a lot more fun. Life is better with a dishwasher.You? You're a guy who's happily busy but happy to share time with someone. You follow up with conversation and not a text message. And you spend regular time outdoors. You put your hand on the small of my back when we're navigating a crowded room, and you walk me to my car when we part ways at night. You'd really win me over if you scraped my windshield on snowy mornings (especially since I don't have a garage!). You challenge me intellectually; our conversations fill my cup. We can agree to disagree, and we learn and grow as a result of knowing each other. You understand my imperfections, and you accept me in spite of them. You are someone who does what you say you’re going to do. You have integrity. You step up. You are honest and honorable, and you have a gentle soul and a kind heart. Put simply, you are a grown-up, a man. I am looking for someone who is in a healthy place physically, mentally, emotionally, professionally, financially and spiritually. It's okay if you share your life with big dogs and/or kids. Also, it would be great if you were handy; I live in a ***year old house! I've done on-line dating on/off over the years. Ok now I have tried to write this a few times now so it doesn't sound so lame. I love to have fun, especially in or one the water I go tubbing on the river at least once a week either with a friend or even if its just me and my pooch (Shesmine).I love camping in the woods, the pitch a tent or even just sleeping under the stars type. I am a very compassionate, and caring person. I am a volunteer disaster responder and I am currently taking an EMT course. I work as a home care provider now, but I fell I can be better out in the field. I would like to meet that special someone. The that will make me laugh, one I can trust, and the one that I will fell safe with. Some one that will like to go have fun even if its just for a drive up to Red Rocks to hick around, or cuddle up at home and watch a movie. This someone musut like that fact that yes I am a tom-boy (Always have been), but can be a lady as needed. So if this all sounds good to you cool if we end up not clicking in that way well then maybe I have made a friend. Oh Yah I am a Star Wars Geek as well. I am really not sure what to expect as a first date cause it has been a long time since my last relationship and we never really did the date thing we started by knowing one another for a long time. But I guess the other person would not only be someone to whom can keep my interest but he keep mine as well someone with compassion and honesty and genuine. Another words I don't know if I rember how to act on a date. Maybe if he has a dog we could take the dogs some where or I love zoos and history museums.
