About Me

I'm a librarian, but I'm also outgoing, fun, spontaneous when you least expect it, socially active, and have a overall positive outlook on life. I'm also usually the person who makes a fool of themselves in a room of quiet people that don't know each other well to break the ice. I don't work in a public library (and probably never will***I'm actually a librarian on Bay Street and am loving the opportunities and challenges that my career provides on a daily basis!How am I not a stereotypical librarian? I very rarely wear cardigans but do wear blazers and suit jackets regularly at work, am pretty outgoing (though sometimes soft spoken unintentionally), love concerts and seriously rocking out to good music, can drink most of my librarian friends under the table, most of the shoes I own are not "practical", I'm busy most week day evenings between social and professional activities, lived in St. I do not know how to knit or crochet, I don't wear glasses (anymore - laser eye surgery about 5 years ago), and I never shush people; I'm probably the loudest person in our little library. I'm also pretty darned technology proficient, though this is becoming more common for librarians. Yes, I do have a cat and love to read.     I work in a lab.I read.I like to do olympic style lifting (not-competitively). I drive a Jeep.I also sing really loudly while driving said Jeep.
