About Me

The best part of my life is feeling good where I am and looking forward to how what’s ahead will unfold.I’m down-to-earth, optimistic by nature with a playful spirit. I have an ever-increasingly clear sense of myself (love that about being in my 50s :) and at the same time love exploring and welcoming what being flexible brings. I appreciate being around open, solution-oriented, centered thinkers. I’m one of the most considerate people I’ve ever met, and integrity and altruism feel good inside. I like seeing how life all fits together, the power of intention, the power of authenticity and focusing on things to appreciate in any situation to create more of that. I would love to connect with someone with similar sensibilities and create a fun, rich, soulful life together. I bicycle (road biking) a lot and have come to love gardening. I like balancing being responsible with relaxing - although I like being active, I definitely enjoy down time - cozying up together for gabbing, deeper conversation or laughing until you almost fall off your chair, maybe with a good bottle of wine or ale. I see the whole glass and don't deny the part that's half empty, I just choose to focus on and live (mostly) in the part that's half full. I find it's so much more satisfying and fun that way.I like expecting to feel good, tropical fish, mangos, being an aunt, great conversation, language, cycling, yoga, walking anywhere, lots of laughter, being in nature, snorkeling, kayaking, being uplifted, being uplifting, gratitude, kindness, the feeling of festivity that margaritas bring, meditating, my little deck, whole foods, live music, really strong decaf (too often an oxymoron:), awareness, dancing, boating (not sailing), swimming, being around the water, things that make my brain cramp a little from the exercise, just hanging out or goofing off...Other miscellany: I’ve historically gotten most of my news from NPR, but am currently on what’s turning out to be an indefinite sabbatical from the news (love “Car Talk” :) I’d like to do some more snorkeling and am allergic to cats and motorcycles.Like me, you are feeling good about life and have a positive outlook; you’re genuine, have a sense of humor, a sense of self and like being in your own skin; you have a spontaneous streak, can be introspective and like sharing yourself; you like a little adventure in your life and are easily delighted :)If something's sparked your interest, let me know what did and I'll do the same - could be a great start to getting to know each other:)

Memo: ur missing in *** cute, witty, fun, caring, thoughtful, intuitive, have common sense, sensible, frugal and yet daring, and adventurous. (not your que to send me sexual encounter *** enjoy most music, especially if it touches my spirit ("Beneath Your Beautiful“ and "Brave"). I'm in a good place right now. (See Memo) I'm getting my life back and I'm excited about being free to be ME. Walk with me, talk with me, dance with me along the way. There truly is an amazing adventure awaiting to be shared. The freedom to be me and you be you as a friendship develops. Another favorite: "Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand but I know Who holds tomorrow and I know Who holds my hand". I like simplicity. Especially in the beginning. It fits into the getting to know one another phase. (Still not your que.)

Woman. 53 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.

Looking for: man. In age: 50-60

Single, reasonably stable (financially and emotionally***ish female looking for a single, reasonably stable 50-ish male who has figured out that life is a time limited offer and best celebrated as a shared experience. I know I've stated "dating but nothing serious" but that is subject to change. The 3 big "C" words that are important: conversation, communication, companionship, are some of the things I miss."C" words that I can live without: cats, cigarettes, cold weather, cutting the grass, and most country music.Seriously, why grass? It's a weed magnet!!!! If it rains, you have to cut it more often and if it doesn't rain, it turns brown and dies - there has to be a better solution.I'm passionate about a lot of things, but fanatical about nothing, except maybe grass. Oh, OK, I HATE polyester sheets and I don't believe in margarine. I take reasonable care of myself, I eat my version of healthy but don't believe in denying myself what I enjoy. I've been called a purist by someone who didn't know that I prefer milk chocolate over dark chocolate. Burgers are better without cheese, but I won't hold that against you.I try to watch the local news every day, just because it feels right. So does the whole "reduce, reuse, recycle" thing.I love music. I sometimes think in lyrics and a good song on the radio alarm can set my mood for the day. So many of the pictures of men on this site have them wearing dark glasses and baseball caps, I thought I'd try it too, well except for the baseball cap. The picture of me in the white t-Did I mention that: a sense of humour is a must? that spelling and grammar still count? manners are important? that I don't like grass?;X" word, but I did see him live a few times) and all the other words that needed to be, was I incorrectly "auto-corrected?" Sigh.** In theory, meeting someone on-line is a great concept. I've taken the step to try this again because so many people I've met had found who they were looking for here, yes HERE on POF!! After a couple of weeks back here, I'm having my doubts, but "nothing ventured, nothing gained.'Cheers, bonne chance, naz dadrovia, good luck in your quest!PS - I was born in ***but don't seem to be able to change it. PS/NB - I have posted pictures of myself. If you do not have a picture of yourself, or have private images but do not include them in your initial message to me, I will not respond. Even the dreaded "sunglasses and ball cap" are better than nothing, though in that disguise, how would we recognize each other if we ever decided to meet? I guess we wouldn't, meet that is. I didn't think it had to be said, but I guess it does. A walk somewhere interesting where we could talk and get to know each other a bit better, maybe with a patio as a destination or reward?
