Hello there. Thanks for stopping by my profile. Here’s a little about me, but I’m much more fun in person. LOL. I have learned a lot in my life and I know that everything happens for a reason, good or bad. But I couldn’t be happier where I am in life right now. I know who I am and I know what I want. I don’t play or like games or have any drama. There will be no more of that! Life is too short for that! I am very young at heart and I love to laugh and make other people laugh. I’m very happy, hardworking, honest, loyal and a positive person. The glass is always half full with me! I feel very lucky to have an awesome job that I love to go do every day. I know at this point in our lives, we all have work , family and are busy in our daily lives, but when I find that one special person that I’m in a relationship with and is someone I really care about, I want to be their partner, their best friend and their lover. I am someone you can always depend on, no matter what it is. I’ll be there for you. I am a one woman guy.     I'm looking for someone that confidently knows where they've been, where they are, and of course where they WANT to be. At 54, I can't and won't participate in the head games and silliness that might have been considered acceptable and "normal" when we were in our late teens and twenties. I like to think that the challenges, successes, and yes some failures up to now have provided me with the intelligence to know what and who's right for me.I take mutual respect, honesty, and commitment VERY seriously. If these basic but essential traits aren't present from the very beginning of a relationship, well there is no relationship.Once I connect with someone, I tend to put their needs and feelings ahead of my own. Some say I'm very foolish to do so - some actually resent it (not sure I understand that though), but when I'm truly connected with someone - I can't help but give them everything I can (and no, I'm not just talking material things), and I would hope they would want to reciprocate. In that same vein, I'm emotionally and financially stable and I typically live accordingly. I'm looking for someone that enjoys and is eager to experience new things but knows how to savor the favorites. I enjoy making last minute plans, jumping in the car and doing something that I've always said "I'd like to do that some day". Sort of a bucket list without the bucket.Although I'm not a sports or exercise fanatic, I do admire folks that take fitness very seriously, but religiously spending inordinate amounts of time at a gym is just not for me. I want to be out, taking in everything I can, building memories *** muscles. I enjoy long walks/hikes (yes, on and off the beach), rain or shine. Adventure makes the adrenaline flow and when there's two of us it flows twice as heavily.I guess I have some doubts about on line dating being able to actually find that special person. Conversely, I'm just not into sitting in a bar hitting on women that have no interest in developing a real relationship; or that have a hidden or bizarre agenda. I'm definitely NOT into any one-nighter kind of thing. I firmly believe that a strong mutual commitment with the right person is essential for a great long term relationship. Holding hands, hugging, snuggling - you know what I mean. Just being close to someone that you truly care for (emotionally, mentally, and physically) is a real head rush for me and hopefully for you too.Friends consider me easy going and certainly easy to be with. If you have to make a concerted effort just to "be" with someone, it may be time to start looking again.I DON'T sport any body armor, tattoo's, piercings, or anything mother nature didn't do herself, nor do I have a motorcycle or a boat. I'm not into facial hair (including beard, mustache, ear, or nose) other than the occasional 5 o'clock shadow. My pix are all recent and I would hope yours are as well. Pen Pals are great but I'm looking for a relationship that if appropriate, can eventually go beyond ***, texting, and voice calls. In all seriousness, I'm NOT interested in an extended distance relationship as I'm looking for a true long term relationship. While the "; story is very touching and romantic it just won't work for me.- I doubt our relationship could go beyond rather brief pen-pals and that's just not what I'm interested in.
