Sorry they forced me to talk about myself.Personality wise, I would describe myself as genuine, funny, optimistic, sane and social. The best way to put it "A nice guy with a little edge". I like to, when I can, do things that add to my "life experiences". I've tried scuba diving, bungie jumping, I certainly would like to try sky diving but the screaming like a little girl thing scares me.Mainly in my spare time I enjoy anything that involves fresh air and the great outdoors. Be it mountain biking, walking, quadding, sports or fishing.A big fan of live entertainment, from local to major concerts, plays and standup comedy. Like dvd's but enjoy the whole movie experience more. Even the expensive consessions.Spend most of my time in jeans and T's but certainly like wearing a suit and heading out to a gala or a special occassion with friends.What am I looking for? There has to be some chemistry but simply put I would like the person to have many of the same interests as me along with some of her own. If there is anything over the years that I have learned is that communication is an intregal part of a strong relationship.Now what about my picture. You ladies have it so easy. Girls don't mind taking pictures of each other. Not so easy for guys. I can see myself saying "Hey budd can you take my picture?" and his response would be "What are you gay?". Even if I ask a woman "Excuse me could you take my picture?" all I hear is "Police! Police!". They're more accepting there. And of course the always not so flattering "bathroom" photo. I think a walk along one of the local trails talking, sitting on one of the benches for awhile would be a nice way to get to know one another. How about a quiet coffee shop or pub where its easy to chat. A game of pool is always a nice way to chat and laugh.

Thank-you for stopping by to read my profile!Things I like to do include playing guitar, listening to music, cooking dinner for and with someone special, going for a walk in one of the many regional forest trails local to me, pubs, movies, live entertainment etc...love reading, used bookstores, walks, bike rides, cooking and trying new recipes. For some reason I enjoy both food and Christmas shopping lol. Love trips to Ikea and ‘home’ stores. I have recently taken up golf again after 30 yrs and am trying to figure the game out and steadily improving. Tiger should be fearful. I find that Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and random weekends are great times to cook and hang together, and I look forward to the next occasion coming along! Family and kids are so important.I value honesty, integrity, loyalty, calmness in my partner and tend to be attracted to assertive, confident women. I want to find someone whom is of similar values to me and who is local to where I live, within maybe an hour or so. Phone calls, texts and *** help to bridge the times when you can't be together in person... Not to mention the required 'self-time'. I have a strong sense of wanting to nurture and build a relationship slowly. Enjoying time with and learning about a new friend is exciting, so who wants to rush that :) I think I am a bit 'old school' - I like giving flowers, opening doors, pulling out your chair, making sure you are taken care of.Of course I do the required house maintenance and repairs etc. although I am of a mind to pay the ‘guy’ these days as there are not enough hrs in the day. I'm a successful musician, a dad of 3 kids who are amazing and out of the house (as per the latest reports), I'll make you laugh, I cook and bake quite well, play hockey and bike etc. etc...let's just say I like good stuff.I hate writing these profiles like most of you probably do and I realize they're a necessary evil. I think I'm a good guy, if the chemistry is right we'll have a lot of fun. I like my life and think it's varied and interesting...I'm just missing someone to share it with. First date? They want a long description but my answer is fairly simple...a cup of coffee or lunch, talking and seeing if there's a spark. That is kind of short...I suppose I could pad it out, ummm...staring into each other's eyes over a tuna melt and cappuccino, discussing vital matters of the day and affairs of the heart, discussing the tuna melt (this can't possibly be helpful, let's stick to my earlier description)
