I am laid back, and easy going. Family is very important to me, as well as honesty, loyalty, integrity, respect for others, and laughter. I look for these same traits in my partner. I am a dad, a singer songwriter, a good friend, the kind of guy you can count on. (everyone does..) I try to live by the golden rule and do unto others. I don't usually eat breakfast. I think if something seems too good to believe, generally it is.. Dave Chapelle is the funniest guy I know of. I need to walk and hike more than I do. (I'm working on that) Steamers!..need I say more? I have swum the east outlet! (unintentionally..ha ha) I love camels. (dromedaries) I have seen animals that the dept. I have been in sandstorms and a total eclipse of the sun. I consider myself very spiritual, and have been to the holy land. I want to go up in a balloon. My favorite color is green. I am quite a cook. I love archaeology and history. I dominate in Jeopardy. Old people, dogs, and kids, love me. Insiders call me "the fashion guy". I am the guy that stopped to help with that flat tire. leaves in the fall, coffee when its cold... Berries..yum! I have an ongoing project of getting rid of the clutter. I love my woodstove, Spring water, pancakes. People that think "outside of the box".. I love the dark. I think that is all for now..gotta leave some things to one's imagination. I am looking for a woman that is feminine, That means no biker chicks, EXCESSIVE tattoos, or girls that dress like a guy ***. I feel it is an important part of a realistic relationship to have some amount of attraction, (no matter how well one connects on a mental, emotional, or spiritual level) so I would request that if you message me please include an average picture of yourself. I am not hung up on looks, but the attraction needs to be there. I am here to find a long term relationship. I am a well traveled, intelligent, and interesting conversationalist. I would have to describe myself as multifaceted. I have worn many hats. I am a champion of the underdog, and am not afraid to lock horns with an issue that I feel is unjust or worth taking on. (picking ones battles is rather important as time is a commodity that is continually shrinking) I also feel humility is important, and I can and do laugh at myself when it's appropriate. I feel the four most important traits for a woman to possess that I would be interested in are: honesty, the ability and inclination to communicate, kindness, and a good sense of humor. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. What ye sow, So shall ye reap. Nothing in this world is worth having if it comes too easy. There is no good in extravagence, however, there can never be extravagence in good deeds. Never wrestle with a pig, you both get dirty but the pig likes it. Finish what is on your plate before you reach for another dish. Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, Faith looks up!! If you argue with an idiot, after a while it is hard to tell who the real idiot is. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. Seeking wisdom is a fool’s errand for wisdom is learnt, not taught. If you cant cook dont tell someone their food needs salt. There is a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot. The more darts you throw the better your chances of hitting a bulls-eye. Its the job that is never started that takes longest to finish. Remember the 3 R’s ..“Respect for yourself” “Respect for others” “Responsibility for your own actions” You can tell whether a man is clever by his answers. You can tell whether a man is wise by his questions. When the mind leads the body will follow. Knowledge is knowing tomato is a fruit and wisdom is not putting tomatoes in a fruit salad. If you think only of yourself, You will be the only one thinking of you. Don’t let a fool kiss you, and don’t let a kiss fool you. Idle hands are the Devil’s workshop. Do not catch too many fish at the same time, otherwise you’ll lose them all. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile. Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. "When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us." Women seem to complain often that "all the good ones are taken". Well, they aren't. I am just looking for a decent normal woman without too much drama in her life. I am not holding out for the perfect woman, just someone that wants to have a life with a good man. I know you are out there, don't wait too long deciding whether it is a good idea to write..."nothing ventured..nothing gained" or it will be too late. BTW...I think it is crappy to "force" someone to sum up their personality in one word. someplace simple where we could talk..coffee? icecream?

    Hi, and thanks for taking a lookDoing some laundry and it dawned on me that I haven't changed my profile in a bit so here goes...Good bye summer....you kinda suck being so short and rainy this year...Hello Fall, and please don't feel like you need to rain all the time like summer did.Two 5K's and a 10 mile run this season didn't seem like enough to show for the season. The "; 5K with a fun group of friends but there is something disheartening about running through the "campground": that I found a bit unsettling...On a person note I am still holding my own ;0) and have yet to find my match. It would help if you don't mind carrying firewood too much (note the 2 o's)Thanks for the read and as always good luck to everyone:0)From here down it's the same as it was before...I'm a good, hard working, honest guy. I strive to do the right things in life even at the times when I don't really want to.I'm also a good listener, which means If we are together having a conversation, I'm paying attention to you...not nodding my head dutifully while mashing buttons on my smart phone (that I don't have).I'm not on *** people that I refer to as friends (and vice versa) know I'm a friend without checking my status on a computer.
