I immigrated to the US when I was 27. I didn't know anyone when I came here and had never even been to the US. I have been divorced since ***. I don't have any children. I hate getting my picture taken also but its a necessary evil on an online site... In my experience with online stuff. Probably the best thing to do for a first meeting is just to go out for a quick coffee to see if there is any real attraction and chemistry. As most of us know. In this online world not everyone tells the truth prior to meeting. I find a bit strange if you plan on meeting someone..
