Briefly, (well, that didn't happen- I'm back and forth to NJ as needed. Music is a big part of my life. I play classical piano, but for listening, its gotta be rock n roll! My taste is varied, from classic, to R & B, alternative, and the newer country that crossed over to rock style. I'm really into photography, and shoot pictures wherever I go, even from the back of a bike. I'm not a "biker", but do looove riding as a passenger on warm, sunny days! Don't have the cold weather gear, maybe I'll get chaps out here : ) Among other "likes": writing, mainly poetry, all aspects of nature, warm weather walks, good food, be it gourmet, ethnic, or a yummy burger from grill. I try to eat healthy, but have a weakness for chocolate and icecream. I adore children, most animals (can't pass a dog without stopping to say hi), teaching, learning, hiking outside or treadmilling with ipod inside : ) I'm happy being cozy inside, watching a movie, playing board games, cooking together, working on house projects, or going out, for a concert, photo hike, exploring museums, flea markets, and those wonderful festivals out here! I'm loving, giving, like to show it, and want the same. You can tell I am social, talkative, (REALLY? you ask) so if you want someone seen not heard, or don't enjoy good conversation, I'm not your girl. I love to listen and learn about you, remember details that are important, what you like/don't - that's what makes a caring relationship. I'm open-minded and like the same, can't tolerate prejudice or judgemental angry people. I'm going through a big transition with moving, career, etc.;happy every day" people, I might not fit the bill. That's my goal, but we all have good days, and bad, and I can't hide my emotions. I'm passionate about what I believe in, will support you, and hope you can be there for me too! Life isn't always easy, but it's better with someone who cares at the end of the day, loves you for who you are, accepts your faults because they feel your gifts outweigh them. It would be nice to find someone who can make my heart skip a beat whenever we meet, feel complete. I'm not a groupie, but I'll clap and shout wooooooo! dance - others usually join in, and band feeds on energy, plays even better, right? ~*~ Rock on ~*~ Whatever we both decide sounds like fun : ) I don't prefer to make all the plans (especially since I'm not as familiar with town as you) but I appreciate someone who cares about what I like. Being a night owl, I prefer later, vs. coffee in bright daylight : o We can meet at a local place that has good vibes, shoot pool (I'll miss most shots ha ha) check out 16th Street Mall around sunset, walk in a park , all good. I love getting to know new people, for friendship or if it works out, more. **NOTE: If you are very regimented, can't understand how someone might be a little late, It's a flaw I'm working on is all I can say **

    I am a busy mom. I love my kids, but would love to have another grown up in my life, to share things and have a good laugh. I am glad to be back in Winnipeg ***yrs now) and am thrilled to have attended my first Fringe festival in years! I think we should try to continue learning throughout our lives. I value intelligence, wit and integrity. I think all people should practice random acts of kindness and live like Karma exists.Oh and by the way, while my profile says a few extra pounds... I am a very muscular build, and am finally finding the time to be back in the gym. I am being honest with that heading ... it is my goal in the months to come to change it to athletic . As an athlete I was very muscular and very lean... Now I am softer and curvier but fitter than the average woman. I choose not to put average, as the average woman has little muscle tone, in my observation. I know that heading will turn some off, but just being honest. I have found several who put "a few extra pounds" on here and honestly appear much larger. sorry if that comes off as a rant... and I know that only those who got past that point will get to read this... maybe a walk to a great little place for a tea or great coffee? Maybe a walk to look at some of the great murals of winnipeg. lets get a slurpee! (boy does that shout winnipeg raised or what?)

    I have begun to wonder if the description part even matters. So many people look at the pictures and make their decisions on who someone is....how fair is that? I work with young children and the thing I love the most about them is that they "see" the real person, they don't judge. If only more people were like little children in that way! There is so much more to me than my size or what I look like. I am a romantic at heart. I feel that there is someone special for each of us...that one person who brings out the best in you and makes you smile for no other reason than the fact that you were thinking of them. I believe that relationships take work but that the end result is what puts the smile on your face and in your heart. I try to give to others in whatever way I can that will make them feel special and cared about. I have many interests....movies, attending sporting events, concerts (variety of genres), hiking, walking etc. I am also able to speak a few different languages.....football, nascar, and basketball and am willing to learn more languages :-) I have learned from the mistakes in my past and I don't judge others by the actions of those in my past and I am hoping to find someone who feels the same way. Who says the second time around can't be better than the first?!? I try to find the positive in all things and enjoy a good laugh. I really enjoy being around someone who is witty with a great sense of humor. My youngest just graduated from high school and will be heading off to join his older brother in the USAF and I am about to enter a new chapter of my life and I am looking forward to seeing what gets written in the book of my life. I know I am not model material but I am NOT lazy. I walk several times a week, have completed Bloomsday the past two years. I hope to find the man who will take the time to find out who I am! I am a person who sees the strengths in others and I don't give up on people.....I would love to meet someone who is the same way. I have admit I have an ulterior motive for joining this site: I recently saw on the news that people in committed relationships live 10 years longer than those who aren't!
