I try to look beyond what is right in fromt of me and getting to know more about the person underneath. Otherwise you tend to miss out on getting to know some pretty cool people. On a first date, I could see us going out to dinner and talking the whole night while trying to get to know each other a little better. How else would you know if you are compatible or not. I would like to know things such as what their family is like, what they do for a living, hobbies, things they enjoy, etc. But I would say the most important thing is to get to know one another to see if this is someone you would like to get to know even better
