..it's absolutely amazing here. I've been lucky enough to call it home for 2 years now though, and love it. But enough about geography...Key things about me: I'm honest, kind, caring, a little shy, but intelligent and witty. My family and friends are, above all, what I cherish most in life. Once I feel comfortable though, I can be a total goofball and brimming with playful sarcasm :) I'm usually up for anything...I love spontaneity, long weekend trips, exploring new places, learning new things.I definitely appreciate and enjoy simplicity in life, i.e., no drama, no chaos. Just good fun, great friends, family and adventure.I've road-..solid blues though ;). I shoot, but don't hunt. Camping is always good fun, but I'm more of a "car camper" at this point. I wouldn't mind giving backpacking a try though. I also enjoy yoga, cycling, and rowing and traveling is always on the list of things to do. Welcome! So to start off I'm a born and raised Vancouverite, which is unusual these days it seems. That being said, I'm not a very good Vancouverite since I don't do yoga, I don't wear a toque in the middle of summer, I don't know how to ski or snowboard (though I'm not against learning!), I don't own anything by lululemon, I can't possibly figure out how to eat all organic, natural and local food while following the latest random health craze (and staying within a reasonable budget), I'm not a bandwagon jumper (I love my teams, through wins and losses), I like to ride my bike, but I also have a car which truthfully gets me around more easily than my bike (but it doesn't mean that I don't care about the environment) and lastly, I probably don't know that obscure band that you are talking about (though I'd love to hear them and will probably like them). I'm open minded and not pretentious. I'm looking for someone of a similar nature. I care about what's going on in the world and am definitely a news junkie. I used to work in international affairs, I continue to volunteer with the Red Cross and respond to disasters when necessary. I have a professional career that allows me to take care of myself. I love to travel. I've been to a few interesting places, heard of Djibouti? I'm pretty easy going, but definitely have opinions, I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl and I'm close to my family. When I go out, it's usually to a pub with friends to watch a Canucks game, watch a band play or hang out on a patio. I'm a big sports fan, hockey, soccer and football being my favourites. I like to stay active and be outdoors in general. I play soccer a few times a week and have a pretty blue bike that needs to get out more. I laugh at myself easily, which is good, since I'm easy to tease apparently. If you're going to send me a message, please write more than a few words.
