I am cheerful, compassionate, and affectionate. I have many interests. Most of my friends are younger then I am. I'm not sure if that's because they are more fun or I am perpetually a 14 year old. I don't do a lot of "partying", but I like to have fun. I am looking for a very honest relationship. I believe honesty and trust is vital in any good relationship. I think I am adventurous and would try just about anything once; twice if I really liked it, just to be sure.Life should be fun, but balanced. Sure I know that being an adult is necessary sometimes, but, why not enjoy life. I like to try new things and get joy out of simple things. I like to read, play board games, write, watch older TV shows and superhero and action movies, cooking, traveling, dressing up, and dressing in sweats, amusement parks, carnivals, picnics, nice restaurants, ice cold water, good white wine, love notes, photography, home made gifts, waterfalls, sunsets, and sharing at least some of these things with that special person.I'm looking for a man who will make me feel special, will listen to my opinion, even if he doesn't agree. Who has confidence but is willing to make a compromise. Someone who likes to try new things inside our romantic world and outside in the big, bad world. And I want to be that person for him.I believe that no matter how much you love each other a relationship takes hard work if you want to keep it alive and fresh.I believe everything happens for a reason. There is no sense in living with guilt or regret. If you look at any situation, it could always be way worse.     The dreaded box that is supposed to tell any and all possible readers about ourselves and what we are looking for. Sounds easy enough ... So then why do I have writers block ? Laughter and great conversation are at the top of my list. A real connection with someone who genuinely wants to get to know me and will allow me the honor to know his thoughts and feelings. I would like to have someone in my life , to share adventures , bottles of wine , silly text messages. I am easy going and do not come with a big bag of drama ! It is a start at least ... Update : It donned on me this morning that online dating is kind of like shoe shopping ...When I first hit the "search" button and all the various profiles come up on my screen, I recognize the same excited feeling I get when I enter a shoe store. All the many types and styles catch my curious eye. At first darting quickly from one to another, and then, choosing a few that make my heart race - just a little. I see the flashy, sparkly man / stiletto. Always a good choice for a fun night out. Alas, in the end however, the evening usually ends with my feet feeling a little sore and my heart longing for more.The athletic man / shoe is also a choice at times. Flash forward to climbing The Grouse Grind as a first date. I am sucking on my asthma inhaler , my perfectly straightened hair going frizzy from all the perspiring I am doing and my water bottle being drank with the same enjoyment that I sometimes feel for a lovely bottle of Pinot Grigio. Not always my first choice, but with the right encouragement can be good for the soul.High on the shelf there is also the comfy man / shoe. Perfect for quiet evenings at home, watching a movie or grabbing take out food. Sweet. The never go wrong kind of guy / shoe. The ever popular flip flops / man ! Let's grab a blanket and head to the beach with your guitar and some food ! ( Note to self : get a pedicure ) Oh , and then there are boots / men !!.. The choices are endless ... Some days on here, a few catch my eye. Some days, I need to keep looking as nothing quite fits my life right now. I wonder what today will bring ?Good luck to all in finding just the right fit for our perfect day !! A bottle of wine and a quiet spot , so we can have a real conversation.
