About Me

Separated Mom of two teenagers, seeks a mate to enjoy quality time with. I'm coming off of a long marriage and miss the butterfly stage. A perfect date would be packing a picnic lunch at the park or traveling up to the wine country and tasting some fabulous wines.. so picturesque and breath taking!!! I am the epitome of Scarlett O'hara in personality, but awkwardly shy when you first meet me. I love the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, that I just finished and have so many angles to me that Freud could never figure me out. I am a tall woman and prefer my men at least 5'***that's pushing it) or taller. I like wearing heels and looking up to my dates. Now that I've scared all you men off, my music preference is Damien Rice, Adele (although she needs to come up with some new material), 80's rockers like Knight Ranger, Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Van Halen, etc. and '90's dance mix. That's me in a nutshell! Ciao! Yes, I'm Italian with all the hot blood, sass and .passion to go with it. I'm studying to be a stenographer so I'm a bit of a bookworm with tons of homework and about 2 years of completion ahead of me but its great money in the end and I'm in the 95%tile of my class (FYI). It's not an easy degree. It has a 90% dropout rate. Think of all the career paths you can take and this one has the highest drop out rate of all! There is a reason why. Also, it's the highest paid associates degree out there and I know why...you have to be one smart cookie to get through this. I WILL get through this. Ooops. Think I already put this in the earlier paragraph. Lol.

Well, I thought I would give this a try. A friend told me about this site.; love it here because there is so much to do. I love to stay busy. I love anything that has to do with water. I also love snow skiing. I tried snowboarding (I even bought a snowboard) a couple of years ago, but decided I like skiing better. I like staying active and keeping fit.I do go out sometimes to the local bars/restaurants - I like the more laid back places. I am hoping to meet someone nice who has a really good sense of humor. If you are only on here looking for one thing, then don't bother sending me a message. On a first date I would make it something casual and low key. Jeans & flip flops :) in winter, jeans & boots :)

Looking for: man. In age: 40-50

Here I am, casting out my line...Let's see...I like a little bit of everything. I like to go out, but I'm always up for a quiet day or night at home as well. I like to cook, but I don't cook every day & I love a nice dinner out. I like going to the movies, but I almost always fall asleep watching movies at home. I have to read a little bit every day and usually have more than one book going at a time. I love seeing plays and musicals & would love go more frequently, but I think a night of bowling is fun too- I also have golf clubs getting rusty in the garage...I could use a coach, as long as you're not too bossy! I'm looking forward to traveling more in the near future and seeing what this world has to offer-I do have my passport! I'm lucky to have quite a few built in times for vacation! I like to be a little silly and it's been said that I have a great sense of humor-humor depends on the audience though, so I guess you'd have to be the judge of that. I love to laugh and I try to focus on the lighter side of life.I've had the same job that I love for over 17 years. I'm not looking for, nor do I need, anyone to take care of me-that doesn't mean I don't like being spoiled a little though :-). I'm independent yet I miss that flutter in my heart knowing I'm in someone's thoughts. I'm looking for someone who has their life together and who has goals for the future; someone who is honest (even in their profile); someone with minimal baby mama drama-some baggage is fine and understandable as long as you've dealt with most of the drama by now; someone who can handle a little sarcasm without getting their feelings hurt. I hope that's not too much to ask for! Also, I am much more attracted to a big genuine smile in a photo that was taken while you were doing something fun than I am to the "selfies" that a lot of you guys are posting. I'm not sure what you're posing so seriously for, but it cracks me up sometimes (and not in a good way)! See what I mean about the sarcasm? If you've read this far & are using the "meet me" feature, how about a message telling me why you want to meet me? I never know exactly what to do when you tell meetville you want to meet me...One more thing, are you still reading? I am a big fan of the occasional photobomb & recently followed a woman around the grocery store trying to *** of her CAT! Seriously, it was in a pet carrier in her cart! If this kind of silliness every once in a while is beyond you or too embarrassing for you or whatever...it's pretty much part of who I am. Life's too short & I know this all too well...keep moving if you can't be silly once in a while :-).Happy fishing! Coffee or drinks seem to be the norm, maybe we can come up with something original...

-garde,I never thought it would be this hard,But I'll search 'til I get my wish. I've been in SoCal for over five years now and I am still loving it, but there is so much to see, who knows where I may land. Do you want to hear more? Alright, let's see.... I'm adventurous and like to try new things(sky diving however is not on the list). I've explored various Mayan ruins, white***I also have a fondness for afternoon naps and relaxing at home. I'm not religious at all, but I do appreciate the un-randomness of things and how, when I look back, the pieces all fit together. I just have to learn to be more patient and trust the future pieces will fall into place too. Presently I am the manager of an independent bookstore and I really enjoy helping someone find a book they will love. (I don't read as much as I should shhhhh!)Shall I continue? I've been called a foodie, and I'm not going to argue. Good food doesn't have to be fancy, just delicious. I'm a decent home cook and I enjoy trying new recipes on my grill/smoker. I won first place in a cookie contest once. I am an admirer of details, from ingenious design to the patina of an old wood bar worn smooth by many hands. In my spare time I enjoy playing backgammon. Recently I have taken a few classes on wild edible foraging and preparation. I ate an ant. One is enough. I don't watch much TV except if there is a hockey game on with one of my favorite teams. If I had cable, I would probably watch cooking shows and the Antiques Roadshow, but there is so much garbage on that I can't justify paying for it. My taste in movies and music is diverse. I'm sure we can agree on something, as long as it isn't contemporary country music. I draw the line there :-)I'm attracted to charismatic, witty men who are passionate about their interests. Players and egoists needn't bother, but I'm not what those types are typically looking for anyway. I'm a sucker for a man who can rock a pork pie hat. I typically date outside my race, but it isn't a deal breaker. I want to find someone where we share a mutual attraction and enjoy spending time together. I'm not looking for a fling or a hook-up, so please look elsewhere if that is what you want. I just want to find someone I click with and see where it goes. So, what do you think? I've often thought of writing a more generic profile. I've contemplated cutting and pasting all the common phrases that I see repeated in other profiles, "down to earth" etc., just to see if I'd get a different response. But this is who I am, and I'm not going to fake it. I know I'm not for most men, nor are most of you for me, but I'm an optimist most days, so here I am, putting the real me out there. This is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg, care to dive deeper? To me, a first date implies that we have met and liked each other enough at the meet-n-greet to proceed to a first date. Meet-n-greets are usually coffee, except when they are a punk concert or a taxidermy exhibit. First dates however have loads of possibilities!
