As a first grade teacher I try to learn as much from my students, as they do from me. They are a daily reminder that life is fun, innocent and always should be lived to the fullest. I like 2 stay active & try new things. My current hobby is rowing. I love it!!! I have 1 daughter that is a teenager. I figure that since she is getting older & has more of a social life thn I do, that it's time I get out there & have fun!Some other things about me.... I do a lot of volunteering for different groups. I am very active in my church. I am part of the parish council, the fundraising council and the alumni event council. I have done random things for Salvation Army such as during the Christmas season I go to the warehouse and help box up Christmas gifts for different events going on in the community. I usually don't attend a Thanksgiving dinner with my own family. I help a church that feeds the homeless. I think helping and volunteering my time is a great way of giving back. I haven't been on a first date in a while. I usually just hang out with friends to have fun. A great date idea would be to do something or go somewhere neither one of us have ever been. A place to get a drink, a different hiking trail neither of us has seen, a new place to eat. =)

I enjoy museums, wandering the city, concerts, old maps, and sports (Mets, Jets, Rangers). I have strong opinions about well, everything- but I try to keep them in check as much as possible :) I tend to plan my next vacation while waiting at the airport at the beginning of my current one. The more I travel, the longer my to-go-to list gets. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? I will not admit how many hours a day I spend thinking about baseball.
