They say you can tell a lot about a person by the company she keeps. Some of my best friends have 4 legs, and I wouldn't have it any other way! I volunteer for a local dog rescue, and there are always a few pups hanging around the house. I have one dog of my own (my 4 year old puggle) whom I absolutely adore. I enjoy being challenged, in both mind and body, and am looking for someone who will banter, debate, and tell me when I'm wrong. :) I am quirky, funny, and sometimes awkward. I'm somewhat of a beer snob, a red wine drinker, and a wanna-be chef. I will drive 7 hours to see a band play if the mood strikes me. I'm can be hopelessly romantic, occasionally a bit reckless, live-in-the-moment, sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs, laugh-until-it-hurts kind of girl. I love it there! Hiking in the mountains, the weather, it's amazing. My whole life I have felt like I belonged on the West coast. I did four years at SIUE as a Technical/Design Theater major. My emphasis was in lighting, costume construction, and stage management. Live theater is a passion of mine, but I'm also into tv/film. I've never gotten the chance to do any work on it, but a girl can dream right? Since theater/tv/movie jobs are not easy to come by I am planning on going back to school for a nursing degree. Anything medical related fascinates me. Yes, I know theater and nursing are no where close to being similar, but I can't help what I like.I'm really easy going and laid back. I love cuddling up on the couch watching movies, listening to music (lyrics that have meaning are the best), having friends over to play games, etc. When I get the chance I love playing softball and sand volleyball. I would much rather be playing sports than watching from the bleachers. I like going to watch the Cardinals and my new favorite team the Coyotes. Also when the opportunity presents itself I love to travel. I haven't gotten the chance to travel much, but it's so much fun. I love seeing new places. There are so many places I would love to visit. And it doesn't have to be major traveling all the time. I'm kool with going on roadtrips too; they're like mini adventures. :) Adventures excite me, there's just something about not knowing exactly where you will end up or what's going to happen.I'm not big in the party scene. Been there and done that back in college. Not saying I won't go out every once in a while, just saying I am not into getting drunk and acting stupid. I do like to keep wine around though. I'd much rather stay in with some friends sipping on wine enjoying an evening than going out to a bar or club.You should know sometimes I can be sarcastic, pretty sure I picked that up from my dad.
