I guess I should start by saying that the whole concept of this online thing is new to me. To be honest, I find the idea kind of unnatural... But if you're so busy that you rarely go out and thus, don't have the opportunity to meet people, I suppose the online thing makes sense so I'll give it a shot. I have one child who is, rightfully, the center of my universe. So if you're interested in the party-girl who gets a babysitter every weekend so she can go out to get wasted and act a fool, that's not me. Also, I have zero intentions of introducing my child to anyone that I date and I'm certainly not looking to rush into anything.My work is of a professional nature, government-related, and therefore, it's kind of like Fight Club. However, unlike a typical girl, I'm not bat-sh*t crazy, high-maintenance or stuck-up. Nor do my sentences generally consist of, "Like... Oh my god... Right??" I'm pretty chill. I can keep up with the girls and roll with the boys. I grew up in Northern BC, so I'm not afraid of getting dirty and I can probably build a better fire than you can. In case you haven't noticed, I also have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. I'm currently teaching myself to play guitar. I love hockey, cooking and music. I appreciate pretty much all music with the exception of country. I am not a Flames fan (Canucks & Oilers, all the way) and I absolutely DO NOT two-step. Nor am I interested in you teaching me how to.The things I value most are family, honesty and integrity. I appreciate someone who is intelligent, quick-witted, driven, self-sufficient, has a good sense of humor and doesn't take themselves too seriously. Improper spelling and poor grammar are a deal-breaker for me. As are crunchy hair, girl eyebrows and sparkly shirts. So d-bags need not apply. ** UPDATE: I do not hook up. So if that's your objective, please save me the "ur hot" messages. In return, you'll save yourself some time, energy and dignity. I'm sure there's some poor girl on here that will eat that sh*t up, but it's not me, pal :) A public place, in case you're a total weirdo and I have to yell "stranger danger" and run away.

I'm really not good at these "describe yourself" things, but here it goes...1st & foremost, I'm a single mom to a beautiful 5 yr old girl. She is my everything & will always come before anyone. As much as I love my job, I'm thinking of going back to certified nursing assistant. I did that for 7 yrs & enjoyed it. I would love to go back to school, possibly for nursing.I'm working on setting several goals in my life & school is definately one of them.I love going to the beach in the summer with my daughter & anyone else who joins us. I love the boardwalk, nature walks, just walks in general. I'm not really good at sports, but I love to throw a basketball around from time to time. While on the subject of sports, I'm a philly fan(even if I don't watch all the games). I'm not a super skinny supermodel & never intend to be. I am happy the way I am, pretty much. I would love to lose maybe 5 or 10 pounds.I dye my hair on a whim. Never anything extreme, just usually when I'm in a mood. I'm a go with the flow type of person. If you wanted to get up & go on a road trip out of boredom, I'd do the same. I'm not one who really desires to travel the world(really can't now with a child), but I love vacations. Just always thought it was beautiful.I listen to pretty much anything music wise. If it has a good beat, I'll listen to it. Just not really into jazz though, but definately don't knock people who are.I think that pretty much sums it up. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask.
