About Me

I'm an independent thinker, an open book communicator, fiercely loyal, honest, high integrity, do what I say, say what I mean woman. I love to adventure and exploration - its one of the best parts of this ride called life!I was raised by a southern mom in a small town, so I have the girlie nesting side to me as well as a strong life foundation. I love being all girl. I was also an only child to a dad who wanted a boy - I had my 1st fishing pole at 3, pony at 5, rifle at 6, golf clubs too. I even bait my own hook:) I live with Diego the Wonder Dog and Hossum the Awesome who are my constant companions. I am honored to be the two- I love anything around the water...skiing, skating, diving, sailing, kayaking and I want to learn to surf....2nd best to being on a horse:) I enjoy any kind of music (except rap), play the piano and love to sing. I golfed to an8 handicap til about 10 years ago, but haven't hit a ball since. So much to do, so little time.I've spent a lot of time going strong running my business (Ran a biz in Europe from CA for 2 years, what was I thinking?) plus traveling all over the world for sport -- if there was diving, skiing, climbing, trekking or flying - I've been there. I love being physical!Which is probably why these days one of my fave things to do is stay home with loved ones and chat about life n the pursuit with a great glass of wine, yummy morsels and music to match the mood. But I'm happy to be out and about ...simply depends on the day and the time...and the company. I have my own business which affords me the flexibility to live and be pretty much anywhere at any time. Yet another blessing! I'm currently forming a non-profit program for kids, locally and on the web, where Maverick and I share stories and more to teach children that we are all Unstoppable! We all have challenges in life - how we choose to respond to those challenges makes us who we are. We're helping kids know they can respond positively and powerfully! Kids need to know that in these days of so much negative fearful programming. I'm here because I want to meet someone to share the wonders of this journey called life. Great if it's for a while, perhaps for a moment. I don't have a shopping list for who that person is. Whether sitting in silence holding hands by a campfire or discussing our deepest heartfelt beliefs or laughing and dancing the night away - we'll know it when we feel it.     I enjoy life ... I love to travel, and have traveled extensively for all of my adult life.- and I enjoy watching a good series on Netflix with a glass or two of good wine. I've always been athletic, currently I'm trying to fit my Power Vinyasa Yoga and Overload weight training into my extremely busy schedule. I've been a runner, a boot camp ***, and a competition swimmer. I love the ocean, the mountains, and my children .. both my 30 year old son and 11 year old daughter. They make everything worthwhile and I think that family is so important. I'm a rocker at heart- never missed a Stones tour since I was 14. I believe in God, and have raised my children to be believe and know that there is something bigger and better than us. When I was younger, I dated a Jewish guy that I adored- until he asked me to convert- and have many dear friends that are Buddhist and Jewish. I don't judge anyone- as I said, I'm no angel, and only decide what I can and can't accept as part of my life. I've owned a successful travel business for 15 years, and I've let go when I needed to.- professionally done, and who knows? Might get a tiny diamond dermal on my cheekbone. I'm a hard worker when I need to be, but I LOVE to laugh and be with someone who can make me do so. My humor is definitely on the dry, sarcastic side, and I'm looking for someone who has lived life enough to appreciate it. I'm deep in so many ways, have been through so many "living on the edge" things that have formed the person that I am today - unique is putting it mildly. My ideal pet is a wolf - I'm intelligent, attractive, and do not look anywhere near my age.- destination as yet undecided - in the next couple of years. Why am I on this site? Because I would love to find the guy I've looked for forever, and I've been in enough bars and gyms to know that he's not to be found there. I'm recently divorced after 16 years - people change, and grow apart - no blame, just the facts. I didn't expect to ever get divorced when we were married- but I've found that life is full of the unexpected. You learn and grow stronger from experience, or you quit. Quit is not a word in my vocabulary. I'm looking for a man, not a child in a man's body. A strong man, because I'm a strong woman. Are there any out there???? A trick question - I suppose it would depend on the time of year. Honestly, it's been so long since I've "dated" - it would depend on alot on the person I was dating. I love to be surprised, and would enjoy someone imaginative enough to decide what that might be. Dinner and a movie? Probably not. Anything that would allow us to be ourselves and comfortable, because first dates- as I recall - are sometimes awkward. I remember trying to eat a taco in a polite, tactful way - not fun, and embarrassing. I'm very self aware & self confident, and yet something in me has always responed to a man who is able to take control - without really taking control. I'm quite my own person, and rebel at being told what to do. It's all in the approach at the end of the day - for the right man, I could be the elusive woman you've always wanted. Show me.
