Hoping to meet some great new friends, maybe find someone special, but I am certainly excited about the new adventure. I'm an athletic, 6 ft., ***lb., funny, smart, loyal, quick to laugh, easy to be with guy. I travelled to Africa twice this past year. Once to climb a mountain, the other time to volunteer at an orphanage, where the kids changed my life. I am committed to returning to Rwanda at least once a year to support them. I consider myself active and I would like to meet someone to share an active lifestyle, or at least appreciates one. Not to say I don't enjoy relaxing, nothing better than a good bottle of wine or a Saturday afternoon nap. I am equally content indoors or out, comfortable in a tent or a tux. I love travel, adventure, and new experiences as much as I like nesting in my home. I grew up with solid Midwestern values so I am your basic good guy rooted in family and friends. I always treat bartenders and servers well; am phobic of homophobes or cheapskates; love indy music, but rock out to NPR when driving; love to ski; embrace anything outside in any season, take the world and politics seriously but myself, not so much; seem extroverted but really love alone time with those I love... I can laugh at myself, even when no one else is.I am looking for someone who laughs easily, matches or surpasses me intellectually, and can teach me new experiences or share those adventures with me, a multi- faceted woman that can fit into many worlds. Perhaps you love your dog or my dog in a way that makes humans jealous;; would like to cook experimental dinners while drinking great wine and or whiskey; often dance wildly alone in the privacy of your own living room but would love a partner; usually know when to use their, there, or they're; carry a map and/or compass in your backpack because that's how you roll... I really feel that if you can trust the person you are with and you are loyal to each other, the difficult parts of love i.e. jealousy, insecurity, fear become minimal. If what I had to say interests you send me a message…I won’t bite…unless you want me too..lol. Ok that was corny!…but I’m leaving it in. A first date should be somewhere we can talk, but have some good light food and a nice atmosphere; this way we can enjoy a bite while getting to know each other better. A sushi bar or a Tom’s Oyster Bar would be great. I love music so some playing in the background would be an added plus. I would like to be somewhere we can go for a walk together if the moment strikes...or weather permits….…lol.
