About Me

Everyone has a story....I've been divorced almost 2 years and not sure where to even start dating again. Friends will tell you I have a good heart, I'm loyal and trustworthy, honest to a fault, independent, can be stubborn and don't do drama or games. We aren't in high school anymore and life is just too short for that ! Also I occasionally have a wicked sense of humor, I mean laughter is the best medicine, right? I can give and take a joke as well, just don't like hurting other people. I guess you might say I've got a fairly strong willed personality.I'm just as comfortable working hard and getting dirty as long as a shower is in the near future. I'm not into camping for a week without being able to wash my hair LOL I mean I'm still a girl :-) Most days I will be in jeans and my boots except on Sundays. I do like to dress up for special occasions. I believe in old fashioned values, I attend church on Sundays. Online dating seems very strange to me. I believe you need to get to know one another and be friends before you jump into a relationship. I love my kids, my son is 19 currently attending college and my daughter is 22 and going to start back to college after the first of the year. I have "tomboy traits" my latest project is finishing a remodel on my home. I'm not a big tv person, usually listening to music no matter what I'm doing. I love to swim, have a garden every year, love to country western dance, love most music except rap and just hanging out under the stars. Mexican food is probably my favorite given a choice. Love hanging out with friends/family and seeing new places. If you want to know more about me just ask..... If you aren't within DRIVING DISTANCE, please don't waste your time, I won't just sit and chat for hours. Not enough hours in the day for that.I don't need someone to take care of me, I've been doing that myself for a long time. I do however like to have my door opened for me and be treated like a lady.I'm through settling .....looking for someone to "; with, someone that makes my heart skip a beat when I see him smiling just for me! Meeting for dinner or a couple of drinks getting to know one another. Love to country western dance but not into the bar scene. Going for a walk, sitting under the stars or open for suggestions.

    Mom of two boys, my oldest is stationed overseas, and my youngest is seventeen, going into his junior year and driving. I actually live northwest of FW in smallsville (rural, really) , but I'm not putting where on here for now;-) Married once, for a very long time, separated since September ***. Going to my kids' sports and music activities, and being with my family was my hobby for years, (finished my degree and grad school during that time too) and now I'm working on finding what I want to do for fun: I like listening to live music and enjoy being outside when I can. I'm outgoing and verbal and I do believe that clear communication is important in all parts of life. I'm pretty accepting of all kinds of people and I can talk to anyone about just about anything, but I don't enjoy drama or arguing. I'm pretty into being peaceful. Black-Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga are on my playlist too. 102.1, 97.1, and NPR are some of my favorite radio stations...) on my Kindle. I like movies, just haven't been to one in ages. Just a meet up for drinks in a central location to see how things go. If we make it to a real first date, I'll let you decide, as long as it's sane, lol.
