I am an enthusiastic smarty pants who has a very soft side within. I value and appreciate those who have a sense of humor, who can be loyal and trustworthy, and who can share in a good conversation, competition, and make light work of the mundane chores of life. I love a good adventure. I enjoy traveling, and new places to explore, but I also have favorite places that I never tire of going back to. There is a favorite beach in my past that always brings me back to myself - In the not too distant past I have been a competitive biathlon-er, and still enjoy staying fit and active. I have always enjoyed movies, dance as an art form, and the theatre. Two of my favorite recent productions seen were "Wicked" and "Man of La Mancha". If I were to die tomorrow I would feel that I've been blessed to live the life I've lived, but I hope to be around for a good 40 more, and hope to enjoy the company of someone who will humor me and help me embrace all of the REST that life has to offer, because I feel like I am still just getting started! My ideal first date would be to meet at the top of the Empire State Building and zip-line over to the statue of Liberty - haha! Not really. I like a creative soul, and I'm good a coming up with ideas, but for a get to know you date, maybe a walk in a public park and a little refreshment or bite to eat afterwards.

I have two rescued pets right now. An Australian Kelpie dog, and a cat.*I have an artistic and creative side which counters my super practical and level headedness. *- I love Sunday morning acoustic Kink-fm. *I have a son who is 23 and have been divorced for about that long too.*I like to garden, do canning, have raised chickens, make bar soap and green cleaners, sew, craft and other "home stead-y" type things. I cook nearly everything from scratch, and try to leave a small imprint on the planet. That way I know what's in my food and where it came from, and keep chemicals out of the house along with saving some money. I feel the need to add some things:*I don't envision traveling very far for a relationship*You being single is mandatory!*I'm not interested in a "quick roll in the hay" or hook-ups. If I wanted that, I could just go down to the corner bar and pick up some random guy - ewww and not my style.*I work during the day so will just be visiting the site during the evening.* I try not to judge right away, but some deal breakers would be rotten teeth, felonies. Something interactive is great - That way you have things to talk about and learn about each other. Drinking beers or sitting in a dark movie theater, isn't conducive to conversation or getting to know one another. OK, maybe drinking beers is OK. LOL
