About Me

I'm sorry but I won't respond to the "meet me" so please step up and ***, it's a free site after all....I've had wanderlust since my teens; I immerse myself in the places I go, learning about the food, culture and people. I take my camera with me as it reminds me to look at the world from different perspectives and to bring some of myself to and from the places I go. I have more brain cells than pairs of shoes, and do not freak out if I chip a nail. That being said, I am not a tomboy. My style is elegantly sexy and I grew up in a family that puts greater value on integrity and practicality than vanity and labels. I am straightforward, intellectual, spontaneous, self-confident, compassionate and have an insatiable curiosity. I exercise regularly (mostly strength training and yoga, which keeps me strong and focused..and I can stand on my head!) I am toned but will always have curves. I can be reserved at first, but when comfortable, am very open, warm and romantic.I started my own company three years ago and am looking for an equal partner to enjoy theater, museums, exploring the world, long walks in the park, dining out, wine tasting, movies, weekend getaways (yes, I can hike and hang out in the jungle too), and lazy Sundays..and perhaps even more. I have a basenji puppy -- no yappy fluffy dog here. He's hunter, racer and clown all rolled into one. I know there are habitual daters out there. Not me.     Not really great at talking about myself but figured it is time to update the profile with a different mindset than the one expressed before. I have been on this site for a little over a year and though I have met some great people I have not found the one. I lost my job in December of this past year and have started my own business. I am a much happier person now that I set my own schedule. I enjoy working in the yard, DIY projects indoors or out, listening to music on mp3 and live, reading (mostly self help books these days), fishing, spending time with friends, and working out at the gym.
