About Me

It is September and I have taken a year off from dating and recently decided to give this another try. I am comfortable being single however I would like to share my life and interests with someone special. I would rather someone make their own opinion about me by talking and meeting me but I will tell you a little about me. First of all, I am a very happy person. I don't let things get me down and I always see the positive even in a bad situation. You will always see a smile on my face and I do joke and laugh a lot. I am quite the social person and have a large network of friends. If you like quiet, then Im not the one. I love having conversations, asking questions and learning. Im not a needy person so that works out great for me to have my self time. I don't have drama in my life and I appreciate the simple things in life. I very much enjoy going out to eat. I don't cook much so if you cook me a meal, that is a perfect date for me. And if you send leftovers home with me, it means more to me than trying to impress me with gifts. I am financially and emotionally stable. I don't watch tv much except for my favorite fall shows and I do not own cable. I prefer to stay busy than being a couch potato. I don't drink much but a glass of wine with a nice dinner out. You rarely will find any alcohol in my house and Im not much of a bar person. I am a faithful and trustworthy person. I put others before myself. I am very comfortable with who I am and where I am in life. Although I like to look nice going out, I definitely have no problem running to the store in jogging pants, tshirt, hair in pony, glasses and no makeup. I think communication is important. I tend to be on the bold side and say whats on my mind. There is never guessing with me, I will let you know what Im thinking. I would like a guy who would equally take charge on making plans. I tend to be the more aggressive one in past relationships and it would be nice for once to have someone make plans and tell me what we are doing, but equally share that responsibility also.What I am looking for is hard to explain. Ive never been willing to settle and I have never wanted to get divorced. Im not looking to get married (if it happens, great) but mostly what I am looking for is a nice healthy committing relationship that may eventually lead to that. This person must be stable, faithful and trusting in all aspects of life. I am not picky in looking for the drop-dead-gorgeous guy, just someone that makes my heart beat a bit faster. It could be the sparkle in their eye, their smile, the way they laugh. Just simple things. I am more attracted to someone who has a nice smile. I do not get along with anyone who is negative or unhappy in their life. I tend to stay far away from those type of people. It is important that this person is willing to involve me and share me with their family as I do not have family near.I am quite sure it will take some time to find the right (not perfect) person for me. I appreciate all the nice *** are sent to me and regret if I feel we are not a good match. I believe this process takes time. Im not a serial dater so I only respond to those that I feel confident on attributes that I am looking for. Most of all, I'm looking for someones who shows respect.Note-Those with shirt-off photos or flexing your muscles, Im not interested. Also not interested if all your photos are taken in a distance or sunglasses and hat in every photo. There are serious and not so serious people on this site. In my opinion, if you put effort into your profile, then you are person that will put effort into a relationship. I like a first date to be simple. A quick drink or I don't mind meeting for lunch/dinner as I do enjoy a nice meal out and conversation. You can expect me to pay for my own as I view this as a first meeting, not a date.
