Give me a balcony overlooking it any day. I enjoy reading, but for right now I read books that don't require too much thought or feeling. I do enough of that during the day. I have a career which provides long-term stability. I'm not looking for someone to support me or my children. I can offer a lifetime of devotion, a shoulder to lean on, and someone who will hold you at night.     I've been on and off this site since ***now. Way too long! :) Now, the joy of writing a new profile. The basics are simple. I am a single mother of a teenager. That should be enough to scare most of you off ;) I was married for over 13 years and have been divorced for 5. I am looking for a patient, kind man, Someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation. It seems so simple in theory, but somehow is not easy to find. I have one daughter who is finishing up her schooling with her grandparents across the state. I miss her much but see her often. I am just grateful for the opportunities she has been given. I love to volunteer all I can. But I do miss learning on a higher level and plan on returning to school sometime within the next year to get my Psych degree. I am a bit shy, but opinionated as well. I am "What you see is what you get". I would love to travel in the future-- My Christian Faith is very important to me and I have learned that it is essential that I be able to share that part of my life with my partner. Also, and this is very important--I DO NOT DATE SMOKERS. IF YOU ARE IN THE PROCESS OF QUITTING, YOU ARE STILL A SMOKER. I AM ALLERGIC TO SMOKE, IT IS NOTHING PERSONAL. Obviously this has been a problem in the past... I have probably left you with more questions than answers, but I am an open book, so question away! P.S. I am always asked why I don't drink. It is not a religious thing. I don't like the taste or how it makes me feel. That is all. And P.S.S What is the deal with so many of you holding up dead fish in your pics????? :) I love simple things. A fabulous thought out date that costs no money is ideal:) I love miniture golf too.
