I've been on and off this site since ***now. Way too long! :) Now, the joy of writing a new profile. The basics are simple. I am a single mother of a teenager. That should be enough to scare most of you off ;) I was married for over 13 years and have been divorced for 5. I am looking for a patient, kind man, Someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation. It seems so simple in theory, but somehow is not easy to find. Did I mention Patience? ;-) I love adventure. I love the exotic. When I was 19, I traveled to the Amazon to live with the Indians. When I know what I want, I make it happen. On the flip side, I am a very deep, sensitive person. I have delt with pain deeper than most know, but take advantage of what it has taught me and strive to give back all I can. I have a college degree, but am kind of in a retirement phase right now. I spend my days reading and walking on the beach. I have one daughter who is finishing up her schooling with her grandparents across the state. I miss her much but see her often. I am just grateful for the opportunities she has been given. I love to volunteer all I can. But I do miss learning on a higher level and plan on returning to school sometime within the next year to get my Psych degree. I am a bit shy, but opinionated as well. I am "What you see is what you get". I would love to travel in the future-- My Christian Faith is very important to me and I have learned that it is essential that I be able to share that part of my life with my partner. Also, and this is very important--I DO NOT DATE SMOKERS. IF YOU ARE IN THE PROCESS OF QUITTING, YOU ARE STILL A SMOKER. I AM ALLERGIC TO SMOKE, IT IS NOTHING PERSONAL. Obviously this has been a problem in the past... I have probably left you with more questions than answers, but I am an open book, so question away! P.S. I am always asked why I don't drink. It is not a religious thing. I don't like the taste or how it makes me feel. That is all. And P.S.S What is the deal with so many of you holding up dead fish in your pics????? :) I love simple things. A fabulous thought out date that costs no money is ideal:) I love miniture golf too. And, I always love being treated like a lady.

HEY, Stop the "I want to Meet You" button Madness!! This only allows people to fill up inboxes who don't read but just judge me on my ultra flattering flossing pic! haha.. No, but really, Guys, don't use this button.. it's cheesy and lazy. A little about me.. Under personality there wasn't an option for new-age-hip-hippie-sassy-chic-geek.. so I chose artsy! I'm fairly witty, sometimes sarcastic and love a sense of humor and confidence in others. I'm an easy-going and fun person to spend time with. I'm flexible as far as the activity planned, or even better, not planned! I enjoy trying new things, learning and exploring unexpected places. I'm health conscious and enjoy cooking with that in mind and patronizing quality restaurants - and really not chains. I'm open to many ethnic foods and flavors and find they're usually better. I'm looking for someone who also enjoys eating consciously or is willing to expand beyond their usual, whatever that is for them.Hey Nascar fans!! - I'm not much into the Nascar watching, beer-slugging, football-obsessed types.. a little bit of any of those goes a Looonnng way for me! No hate mail please. ;) If it's a once a week thing and you wont cry if you had to miss it, that may be acceptable. I'm looking for someone laid back in temperment with excitement and assertiveness well-placed in the right moments. MUST be intellectual. Someone who is interested in evolving and continuing to learn through life's experiences and who can approach the world with curiosity and share that and himself with a partner. A learner, into traveling, reading, observing, a little self-reflection. I know that's a lot to ask sometimes! Beyond that, I don't care what your religion is.. I don't care what kind of music you like or movies (it's so funny that some people form opinions on others based on their preferred music stations/artists). Our tastes don't have to match! These things aren't what make it or break it for me.. chances are very good that I would share in some of your interests or be interested enough in you, to be a part of them. But I swear, if you even try to get me to convert to your crazy, or not-so-crazy (...to you!..) religion, I'm out! (Addendum: or your extreme political stance). ;)If you think you could maybe be a match, or to find out more about me, write and ask :) I just may answer! Ha. A quick meet and greet can be enough for some situations :) I've had a doosey or two. After the first hurdle (hopefully better than a hurdle!), I'd be open to doing something outdoors, a drink, an art museum, live music, coffee. To me, it's much more about the company and the connection than the activity.

Its not like anyone reads this anyways. The stuff people put in here I feel like is only half true. So about me I am a mother of three great children. My oldest is starting college n my daughter is starting Junior High n my youngest is ***. They are my everything but I want to find someone to share my life with and to grow old with. :) I work FT n I love my job for the most part lol. I am a very outgoing person, Im happy, friendly, n love people. I am a very positive person and loyal. I love with my whole heart n some might see that as a negative quality. I just feel like you never know whats next so if I feel it I express it and if I want it I get it. If its important to you make it happen. Nothings easy what matters is how much you want it. Ill tell you what I am looking for and what I'm not. Im looking for a man that wants to be in a committed relationship. Please if you have been a man who cant stay committed, cheats, lies or is the cities flavor of the day then pass me by. If you have been in prison, dont have a job or car then dont waste my time. If you have crazy Baby Mamma Drama then I'm not the one. I want someone that isnt scared to say how they feel, someone who doesn't give up when things get tough. Someone that thinks about me when they go to bed n I'm the first thing on their mind when they wake-up. I want a man that knows how to treat a woman and who loves to be treated like a king in return. I want someone who values family but wants that one on one time to ensure our relationship continues to grow. I know God has a great man out there for me on his time but Im ready now lol. I am so tired of chatting with people that claim they want a relationship and they want to get married some day to learn that they have never been in a committed relationship yet but have been in several relationships that last as long as a good book. Its ok if you dont want the same things some men and woman never want to settle down but just dont waste my time or yours, Good luck and happy fishing needs to be somewhere that we can talk n get to know eachother. Dinner, Starbucks, not big on movies for the first date because we cant talk n the whole point is to get to know eachother but Im open to good conversation n a relaxing atmosphere
