About Me

I am easily entertained by what most people don't even notice. I prefer a long walk over a bar. My taste in music varies, but I don't listen to country, pop, or rap. I'll like an occasssional pop song or old school hip hop song, but definitely no country. I love to go to live music events, so many concerts, so little time! I like to laugh with people, and I can make fun of myself. I really enjoy deep meaningful conversation, and I want to learn from someone I am with. When I travel, I prefer the off-the-beaten path kind of place. I'm not much of a resort person. I try to keep my life drama free, and believe that everything happens for a reason. I've had a lot of careers mostly in the arts and working with kids. I'm a dancer who will never stop dancing, so if you've got rhythm that could be fun! I'm not one dimensional about anything...you and I would never be bored!I'm independent but, I like relationships. I'm very loyal when I find the right person. I think honesty keeps things moving in the right direction. The only sport I like to watch is hockey. So if you're looking for a Sunday football buddy or a golf partner, I'm not for you. I am on ***, but I'm definitely not addicted. I enjoy photography and just keeping in touch with old friends. I prefer to be doing something even if it's just walking and talking.I have one child ***who lives with me most of the time. Now that she's older I have a little more time and freedom to date. Not looking for someone to be her dad, she has one. She's my everything, so anyone else has to be o.k. with second place. I've been separated from her dad for 11 years (never married) and from my last relationship almost a year, whom with we just haven't gotten around to divorce papers, but it's on the to-do list!p.s. As much as I am the type of person who wants to be kind and respond to everyone who messages me, I just don't want to spend more than a certain amount of time online. Like everyone, I'm on here, and I'm off here. I have a good idea of the kind of person I enjoy, so please don't take it personally if you don't hear from me. Also, I am 42. The site wouldn't let me change it after I selected the wrong year on my small phone screen, oops. Happy fishing! A Take a walk and maybe take some pictures (probably not of you). And yes, I do believe it is possible to get to know someone without alcohol.

Woman. 39 years old. Zodiac sign: Gemini.

Looking for: man. In age: 36-46

"" I don’t like most guys, but I am not interested in most guys. Perhaps that's what makes those few unique individuals who I do connect with more special. Myself – restless, analytical, and opinionated. I am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out one of my own. I am independent but far from being a feminist. Sarcasm is a spice of life, so bring it on. I am a proud mother of two amazing young girls. Ironically, these girls keep me grounded and adventurous. I love the ocean; hate the beach. Give me a balcony overlooking it any day. I enjoy reading, but for right now I read books that don't require too much thought or feeling. I do enough of that during the day. I have a career which provides long-term stability. I'm not looking for someone to support me or my children. I can offer a lifetime of devotion, a shoulder to lean on, and someone who will hold you at night. Let's be honest, we are all on here for the same reason and we are seeking the kind of chemistry that happens when you spend quality time face to face. If we're not a match then we respectfully move on. It's ok to say, "I'm not interested." My biggest pet peeve is a man who can't tell it like it is. You should message me if: you think that your already-pretty-good-life is better when shared with someone, andyou're ready to find that someone now-ish.you're as likely (and happy) to spend Sunday lazing in bed as you are enjoying the outdoors. you have brains, humor, and challenging repartee. you want to teach me how to sail. you are spunky and self-confident (not narcissistic).you have resilience, strength of character, and a willingness to learn and be taught (humility). you have been through some sh*t in life and pushed through it (I am not going to make your lemonade for you).you can spell, and are generally happy. The rest is negotiable. Don't bother messaging me if:you are looking for a quick hook-up; you are going to text message for days about nonsense.you are serial-first dater and looking for nothing more. This should be titled "Initial Meeting" not first date. Let's save that for when we really connect. In the mean time, we can meet for drinks and take it from there.

I enjoy museums, wandering the city, concerts, old maps, and sports (Mets, Jets, Rangers). I have strong opinions about well, everything- but I try to keep them in check as much as possible :) I tend to plan my next vacation while waiting at the airport at the beginning of my current one. The more I travel, the longer my to-go-to list gets. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? I will not admit how many hours a day I spend thinking about baseball.
