I am 51 yrs. old. Its not to easy finding the right words when you speak of yourself! Here goes...I am a friendly girl, little shy at first I think. Others that know me say this is not true. This is the short version:I love to kick back with a glass of wine or pint of beer or forge ahead into the great outdoors. I'm a paddler and have my own canoe. I love adventuring in the city or out. For women it's not necessarily how good looking you are. It could be your words, your confidence, your shyness or boldness. It could be your love of the outdoors or the way you smile. I like earnestness. I like handy men. I like soul. I like someone that isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. I like passion both with me and for the world. You needn't be vocal about your love of people and the earth. You just need to have it. It's important to me that your political views lean more to the left. I work-out because I have bad knees. I don't have a drop dead gorgeous body. I work-out so I can do the things I enjoy and not kill myself. I like to relax. I'm pretty laid back and so not high energy. I simply like to do a lot of different things. This doesn't mean I have an insurmountable amount of energy. In fact I need my down time. I'm not always good at communicating my feelings but I think it a very important part of keeping a relationship healthy. I like discussion. But I don't think we need to fill all the silence with words either. We all deserve respect and kindness. If we meet, let's keep it simple and easy and maybe at the very least have some intelligent conversation and a few laughs.I'm pragmatic. It's the journey, not the destination. My Life, in a Nutshell. Been single for several years now. I was certain, that ***would be my year. The year isn't ever yet! But, I have a feeling I will be editing in a few months, changing ***to ***.......... I'm always optomistic!I'm a divorced, middle age gal, that feels like 30. I am 5'5", healthy, but not a skinny model. I live near the Glendoveer Fitness Trail, and would like to find someone to walk it with me. I don't smoke ***years!) and rarely drink. I never do recreational drugs. If you do, do not contact me. I work full time, downtown. I don't work regular hours, but I don't work weekends. I live alone, but for my cat. Kids are out. I have a home, and car. I live very frugally, with a goal of being debt free. Slowly, but surely, getting there. My car is old, but it's paid for. My apartment is cheap, but comfortable. I just want to be worry-free. I'm easy going, and don't sweat the small stuff. I'm Catholic, and occasionally go to Mass. I'm not religious.I hope to find a nice man, who may have some of the same goals. I like if you're taller than me, and not skinny. I like a big guy. By big, I don't mean morbidly obese. It would be cool if he has a car, home and job (or at least, an income). Sense of humor is a big plus, and likes kids and animals. I like a man with a big personality, not so much a milktoast. Please don't be an alcoholic, drug user, woman abuser, felon, wanted or attached in any way. But, anywhere may be doable. I want that man to know that I have goal in mind. To get remarried someday. But, I'll just be happy starting with a nice date. It was so much easier when I was a teenager! I've dated since my divorce, but have not been in a relationship.I am pretty much a homebody, because I live cheaply, but mostly because I am still single. When I do get out, I like to eat out, go to the movies, walk around the mall, hit up the casino, visit friends. I listen to Alternative, 90's grunge, new music on 94.7. (The Black Keys can do no wrong!) I don't like country. I love Volkswagens. More like obsessed..lol You don't need to, but at least humor me. And, I won't hate what you may drive.
