I'm starting a new life chapter, care to be included? I've had enough of NYC for now. A great place to visit; however, commuting daily, I'm done. Suffocation isn't asked, just intermittent reminder loving pulses. I enjoy being healthy! I'm more outdoors than inside exerciser, e.g. power walks with yoga, hiking, x-country skiing and snowshoeing. It's great to come inside to a delicious home cooked meal via crock pot or what I planned and relax over an entertaining movie or music with a refreshing glass of wine.I'm into well groomed, professional (white or blue collar), soulful, fun, creative and athletic (no super jock, love handles are cool!). I'm 53 and would love to find my soul mate sooner rather than later as we enter retirement! I think having 'independent / alone' time is healthy too. A perfect home would be one level, two wings with each wing being 'our individual space' and center / common area (kitchen, dining, living room). Of course sleep together (hoping snoring isn't an issue ... lol). One level as we are aging, forgo steps. If you own a motorcycle, this is cool, respectively! People tell me that I’m very easy to talk to, kind, a good listener and an open-minded sounding board for my friends and family. I am uncomplicated as they would say in the horse world. lolA fun day for me presently includes watching my son play sports, going for a long bike ride or hike, riding my horse, and having dinner with friends at home or out to an ethnic restaurant.I enjoy projects around the house and even decided to build my own barn without having any previous construction experience. I bought a bunch of books and materials and just went for it. It’s incredibly satisfying to know that I build something with my own two hands. And, yes, the corners are plumb!I love to travel, especially off the beaten path and to explore new cultures. I spent three months in Africa in my 20s in places where the people had never seen an American person. It was an amazing adventure, and it would be wonderful to do some more traveling in the future. I recently went to the National Parks in the South West with my son and brother. It was awesome. Snuggling is one of my favorite activities! I am sorry but I am not into motocross, football, or motorcycles. I’m drawn to folks who are kind, generous, bright, and easygoing; people who are curious students of life and humanity. I am a very handy person, who likes thinking outside the box to get things done. I enjoy working on my home, inside and out. I get great pleasure from my gardens, the beauty and the bounty. I enjoy being out doors, whether it is working in my yard, or on an adventure. I enjoy cooking/baking, feeding people, and am pretty good at it. I have 2 grown children, 23, my son and 27, my daughter, who are the light of my life. Both live on their own, but we are very close. I ride my bike casually ***I enjoy most music, but really do not like rap or country. I love the beach, and must spend time at the ocean a couple times a year. I love to travel, especially tropical locations, but I am dying to do a cross country trip. Not a fan of motorcycles, too scary for me! Love to read a good book, as well as watch a good movie. I swim 1 mile 5 days week for exercise and to get my water fix! I am very active and love to be moving, most of the time, I do enjoy down time as well. My politics are very liberal. Bit of a tree hugger, I drive a Prius. I love to laugh, even at my own misdeeds, and have a very good sense of humor. I am a very caring person who tends to take care of people, and enjoy it, but I would like a bit of that coming my way too!I am independent and self sufficient, not a game player, life is way too short and this is not a dress rehearsal! I own my home, a sweet little cape, which I love. One of its best features is the outdoor shower (enclosed), which I use from Memorial day thru Halloween! I am looking for a friend, a close friend, my best friend, someone special to go with out on the town with, to travel with, to see a movie with, share a meal, a drink, take a hike with, someone special to just spend time with in my home being warmed by the wood stove on a cold evening. I would love to start there and see what happens. No pressure, just 2 people getting to know each other and see if there is a base for a lasting relationship. I would prefer to keep it simple, a drink or coffee, maybe take some kayaks out on a lake, or a stroll in town
