Looking for: man. In age: 39-49
After what seems like a lifetime, I am opening my profile back up to see what is out there. A little about me...I am a single mother of three GREAT kids. Yes, this part comes first because my children mean the world to me. Two of the three are grown adults. The youngest lives with his Father. I am not one of those crazy Moms that are always nosing in their children's business but I am actively involved since parenting doesn't end when they turn 18. I am at that stage in my life that I am not really seeking a relationship that involves young children. I apologize if this seems kind of harsh but I think its best to be honest right from the start. I am educated. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and one in Culinary Arts. I retired from teaching over 10 years ago to pursue my dream of becoming a chef. Things I am really really into: Food, wine, music of all types, comedies and horror films, antiques (really into antique dishes, flatware and serving pieces), Mob films, reading, anything cultural/ artistic, candles, foreign films, long walks, water and boating, mountains, a good****ail, bed and breakfasts, and photography. Things I am NOT into: Motorcycles. Do not get me wrong, I can appreciate a beautiful machine and like any other woman I do find a bike sexy. I am not into the weekend riders that are into biker chicks riding on the back of the bike in chaps and a tank top. There is nothing wrong with the occasional rider that enjoys a ride every now and then but also knows that a car is a good idea. I am NOT into the bar scene. Yes...I know, that sounds odd...a chef that is not into the bar scene. I do not enjoy sitting on a stool on the precious time off I have while consuming a beverage that is less then stellar in a setting that isn't cozy. A nice bar after a movie or dinner is fun. But the local corner hangout is not where you will find me.Interesting things about me that might be good to know ahead of time: I do not eat hot dogs (although I do like sausage). I have been to numerous NASCAR events so I am familiar with how it works. I enjoy fishing and being on the water. I talk a lot. Its part of my nature. My job requires me to talk (a LOT) so I have been conditioned to do so. I am a real blonde. I have real blonde moments. My favorite color is red. I love chocolate. Not into coffee unless it has chocolate in it.I blog as a hobby. I am a published cookbook author.I do not own a pair of sneakers (my daughter took the last pair of sketchers I had because I owned them for a year and wore them twice).I like to shoot pool but I am bad at it. I speak sarcasm as a second language. On the outside I can appear to be a little gruff and abrasive. Once I get to know you a little better, I soften up completely. On the inside I am a softie at heart and have been called a "Mother Hen" because I tend to look out for others often.Long term I am really looking for that one guy that really really gets ME. At 42, I am probably not going to change much (just as I expect you would not either). Currently, my job keeps me busy most weekends but I would like to find the guy who is willing to change that with me. For to long my career has really been my first priority but I would like to find someone to share my life with me. The perfect someone would love to see the world, be able to enjoy a great glass of wine with me on the back porch, and be able to talk about anything. If you think you are that guy, do not hesitate to ***
