I grew up in the country so living in the city can still be a bit of a culture shock for me, but I love it! In my free time I love to sing. Other than that, I paint, draw, do yoga, enjoy any kind of outdoor sport... I LOVE camping and just being out in the woods enjoying nature. I love to travel. I've been to Europe a couple of times and my newest dream is to go to India. I have always wanted to ride an elephant and I'm going to make sure it happens one day. I'm not interested in someone unvealing the red carpet for me right away because honestly only I know I'm worth it at that point. It should be casual but fun. Dinner in the city at a tapas bar followed by a local jazz band playing in some dive bar where at some point despite he awkwardness of getting to know each other, you reach out for my hand to dance. I LOVE to dance. At that point the night will figure itself out..

I am a very independent person who is very close to her family and friends. I enjoy the cooking channel, television dramas and musical theater. I love going out on town and experiencing new things and I love a good reason to get dressed up. I'm not a foodie but I enjoy trying new things and I love being made to laugh. I would probably say my favorite hobby is reading fiction. I really enjoy skimming through pop culture magazines & I like art and visiting museums. My music selection is often varied. Anything from country to classical to musical theater to classic rock to even an occasional rap song. I have two cats and we spend many a night curled up with a good book or a good television show, although my friends assure me that two cats and single does not a cat lady make :). I am a Red Sox fan (yes, in upstate NY!) but I'm accepting of other sports teams. I attended musical theater school in NYC and lived there for seven years before moving back to upstate NY. Really for a first date I would just like to be shown a good time, with good food, maybe some live music and excellent conversation. A real night out on the town. No clubs, no movies or anything that would restrict conversation.
