Someone once said to me “live life how you want, this is not a rehearsal, take chances, love, be happy, say what you feel and bugger the consequences. So time for a new chapter. More fun, less tears, and a happy ending would be nice for this one please. Previously I was chef for the Royal family, in Michelin star restaurants, and ran my own seafood restaurant, amongst other things.I spent 3 years volunteering and living at an orphanage in the jungle of Guatemala, along with traveling Central and South America, which was a fantastic life changing experienceI love to laugh and be daft and according to my female friends, have a wacky sense of humour, and am a decent, genuine guy...kind, caring, sensitive and a reliable big softie underneath (their words not mine). Don't have any kids but have absolutely nothing against them, just never met the right person {;-) I enjoy nights in on the sofa or nights out at the cinema or restaurant, but not clubbing, please? I enjoy most things in life actually and am happy so long as you are.I like to be spontaneous, and actively seek new experiences, I've Abseiled, catapulted, Bungee jumped, dived with sharks and climbed active volcanoes amongst other things, I enjoy most types of music, and I try to get to at least half a dozen concerts a year.Who am I looking for? Hi, I'm a young late 40's who works too hard and is looking for a reason not to. The pics are a bit dated, but I look the same, just 20lb lighter and leaner, new pics up soon if you want to check back, or just meet me to check out the real thing!I love the outdoors and enjoy walking, canoeing, scuba diving, skiing (would like to get back into it), and heading to warmer climates. I have enjoyed playing squash and badminton, have been pursuaded to ride horses, crawl into caves and hang off cliffs on ridiculously thin bits of rope. I enjoy evenings out such as the cinema and theatre, a drink in a pub, ten pin bowling and such, this christmas I got the skating bug and attended the TW ice rink almost a dozen times! When at home I enjoy my music which is wide rangeing and enjoy watching movies, I am not a person who enjoys watching ordinary TV. I love long baths, curling up on the sofa with a beer, cooking good food, and entertaining friends. While I currently dont live in my own home (I rent it out, its in a different part of the country) and currently dont have a garden I am both a keen and competent DIYer and gardener and have got a qualification in general horticulture which I did some time in the dim and distant past), an extension of these is that I love historic buildings and landscapes and have been lucky enough to turn this passion into a career.I am divorced, of slim to average build (have lost 20lb in the last three months) and am getting back into sports and fitness.) or so they tell me. Part of me still hasn't grown up but I'm still mature and responsible, most of the time anyway. I'm kind, caring, fun, enjoy laughing, I am relaxed and sensitive. A man in touch with both his masculine and feminine sides. I'm generally outgoing, but can be a little shy if I particularly like someone.I have not given up on life and am constantly seeking new adventures to which end I took the step of quiting work 3 years ago to spend a year in the Carribean to explore my passion for diving and to do volunteer marine survey research. I then spent 3 months in the Bahamas doing further marine research with 'Greenforce' another volunteer charity. I came back 2 years ago (grudgingly due to lack of funds). I have to say its the kind of adventure I would love to do again, though not perhaps for the full year?The travelling has made me re-evaluate the important things in life and I have become more relaxed in my outlook as a result.I have friends who are very important to me, some are female and I love them dearly as friends. I consider myself to be honest, reliable and trustworthy and do my best to live up to these ideals but I am not perfect and would never claim to be. I have made mistakes in the past and hope that I have learned from them. What am i looking for, i wish I knew, a fun, uncomplicated, adventurous spirit with a sense of humour to share adventures would be a great start. I am looking for that special person, but am not in a great hurry. I very much appreciate a beautiful smile and sparkling eyes or is that sparkling smile and beautiful eyes.I have an addiction to tea.Any of the above or indeed anything else.
