I'm not ruling out "dating" by any means, but I'm not exactly "looking" for a relationship at the moment; if there's attraction & chemistry-great...if not, it would still be great to make some new friends and aquaintances. At this moment, I'm basically at a place where I'm starting all over in my life-and I'm determined not to repeat the same mistakes and choices that led me to need to start over in the first place. I consider myself to be a kind, decent, intelligent and honest person-BUT-I expect the same qualities in the people I allow in my life. I've learned & experienced a lot in my 35 years-most of the really important lessons I've learned were learned the hard way-but the key word here is "learned". I've learned that NO ONE is perfect-I'm certainly not-and therefore I'm not looking for perfection in another individual-but I am looking to surround myself with people who are always at least trying to better themselves for the sake of being better people. While I'm not a huge fan of meeting people online, I do know a few things about it-one of which is that when writing an online profile and talking about yourself, you're supposed to keep the tone light and fun and upbeat-talk about your hobbies and your taste in music and what you like to do for fun-those types of things. I am well aware of the fact that I am not your stereotypical woman-probably not in any sense of the word-and I am aware that the tone of this "online description" is somewhat serious and not at all "sun-shiny"...but I like to think that I am down-to-earth and I keep things real-and I would bet that if ***people read this, chances are 98 of them are going to continue on to the next profiles-but that's a good thing because I am interested in getting to know the 2 that didn't...those precious few who actually "get" what I'm saying and have the same or similar views. I'm much more interested in quality vs. quantity...it's the quality people I want in my life-I'm done with the other 98%...then I'd like to hear from you. I am NOT like most people-and I see that as a virtue-not a flaw. In the meantime...I look forward to hearing from you. I haven't been on a real first date in a very long time-so I'm game for just about anything within reason. :)
