About Me

I'm updating this profile. Sometimes the bait gets a little stale and you need to chunk it and put some fresh on. Looking up there at tips for being successful on POF: Talk about your hobbies. Talk about your goals...Talk about yourself. Hmmm Let's go at this another way.I love to play tennis and a lot of other things outdoors; fishing, but don't get to go that often. Fishing would be a great date for me. I have a love of learning.I am often doing physical work, mowing, weeding, painting, whatever is called for to get the job done. I like to do a lot of things. In any given week, I can be found in the gym, in the grocery store, at Best Buy, at Lowe's, in my pool, on a bicycle, inside a vacant house, shooting baskets on my driveway, at the stove with a frying pan in my hand...you get the idea. ;) If you don't like a partner that stays busy, don't stop here. Me: I'm definitely a chameleon and don't mind getting dirty but I dress up pretty well too. I sleep in a t-shirt most of the time. I know I'm not perfect and I don't care to be. You don't have to be either. I do like straightforward people who use tact and know how to give and receive. I own a business and I live a busy, active life. I like my independence and I will respect yours. I am loving and caring and enjoy spending time with people who love sports, being outdoors, travelling and discussing things that matter.I've been trying to pay attention to what attracts me. Here are a few things important to me: Be physically active. Active could mean any sport, woodworking, hiking, camping, fishing, carpentry, etc. It's not so much what you do but how you do it that interests me. Be mentally fit and searching for more. I like people that never think they know it all. Be a fixer. Help with mechanical things much appreciated here. Be a gentleman that knows how to respect others. I like a partner that isn't afraid to do what it takes in this life. I think all people should be well rounded and know how to cook and clean and earn the bread. My idea of a good partnership is one in which each person knows how to care for him/herself but in the partnership, gravitate to the things they do best and cooperate to lighten the load. It seems simple to me but I haven't met many men with this mindset. If you have it, like adventure, can go with the flow and run with the bulls, message me.P.S. I'm from a long line of Texans, just in case that is important to you. ;) I love music. Have a variety on my Iphone. Love country with bluegrass influence the most. (That will probably knock out a few of you!) Whatever suits us both...

    Okay, well here we go. I've independently raised 3 wonderful children and am at a pretty comfortable place in my career. I now find myself with an empty nest and plenty of time on my hands. I am quite outgoing and will strike up a conversation with just about anyone. I really do enjoy being around people and tend to be the "funny" one in the group. Because of this, most people likely think I'm a crazy party girl, but the truth is, I really enjoy spending a lot of time at home with a book, a movie or just listening to music. I love pretty much all music and really love to sing along. No, it's not pretty, but I do sing with all my heart! I enjoy cooking and think I'm pretty good at it. I don't use a recipe very often, so sometimes it's an experimental thing. Yes, I've failed on occasion, but usually it's not bad at all. I love to take walks around the city. Often times I do this on my own, but it's much more fun to do with someone else. I love sports...football is probably my favorite. Love to go the Century Link for the games, but also enjoy a lazy Sunday watching the Red Zone all day. Lately I've been thinking quite a lot about how fortunate I've been in my life,so far. However, now that I have so much time on my hands, I feel a bit lost and have spent the last few months considering what is the next step. Travel? Classes? Volunteering?.... I'm just not sure yet. I would very much enjoy meeting someone who is in a good place in his life who may have some fun, exciting and fulfilling experiences he might like to share with me. I'm ready!! Not too much pressure. Maybe coffee or a casual lunch somewhere would be nice. I'm open to any activities, but would prefer to keep the first meeting casual and easy.
