Why am I on here? I'm hoping to find my soulmate. I'm 50 yrs. old and have spent my life searching for her. I refuse to settle, or be settled upon. All I've ever really wanted to do was fall in love with my best friend(she reciprocate) and raise a christian family together. I work as an Educator in a med/max. helping inmates obtain their GED and hopefully, turn their life around. Politically, I'm conservative. I believe in God and that Jesus Christ is my personal savior. I come from a stable, loving family. I enjoy many things in life....such as the theatre or a Nascar race. My favorite music would be classic rock, country, and easy listening. I do drink a little now, I guess mainly due to boredom. I would prefer a relationship that would require none, or very little, of that. I am financially secure, but not rich(very few teachers are rich! :) I am friendly, easy going, and somewhat reserved...however, I do have an adventurous streak within me. And I love to travel to new places I've never been to before. I am interested in someone who has similar ideas, physically attractive (yet not a model!), and isn't playing games(I am looking for my Soulmate you recall:) If this appeals, please write. I do just about everything under the sun, and if I haven't done it, I'm generally up for trying it. I like to travel. My best trip ever was to Pamplona, Spain, where I ran with the bulls. I have very flexible hours, which is awesome, but weekends in the fall are generally tied up. I love to go out for dinner, but also enjoy cooking at home. I enjoy just about every sport. I'm a runner and have completed 4 marathons and a number of other distances. I'm fairly health conscious, but not obsessive. The first stop after a race is generally a bar to celebrate. Sitting by a bonfire anytime is great, but especially in the fall when there's a chill in the air. The beach is awesome, but I get antsy. I like working in the yard and gardening. I grew up in a house of women, so I even enjoy shopping (shhh!) I will open the door for you, and not just for the first couple months. I'll even do it if I'm "having a moment". I do the little things and the big things, because I like to do them, but I also want to be appreciated for doing them. At the same time I don't mind hanging out and watching a movie. Never married and no children. That doesn't mean I don't want to get married, or haven't wanted to... I never thought it was something that would define me. In other words, it just hasn't happened. That doesn't mean I'm a player, in fact I'm just the opposite. I do want to find someone that will compliment me. I want to find someone who is sweet, thoughtful, open-minded, and knows the difference between funny and clever. I want someone who takes care of themselves, and wants to make me happy, as much as they want to make themselves happy. I want to be wanted, not needed. I have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for, and generally know when I see it. That being said, I don't have a "type". I like a girl that has style. It doesn’t have to be a particular style... just a style that fits her. Sassy, playful, even mischievous are good. Confidence is good, narcissism is not.As far as why I'm here... dating, relationship, or long-term? I guess I'm here to find someone to date, but I've never dated someone I didn't want to have a relationship with and I've never had a relationship with someone that I didn't want to be with long-term. Personally, I don't see the point of "dating" someone if you're not attracted to them. Which leads me back to the player issue, I wouldn't be in a relationship with someone if I wanted to be with someone else. It's pretty simple really. I think this is a silly question. There are so many variables, as with most things... The "date" No better way to get to know someone than ***hours in the car... right? (lol)
