About Me

I do just about everything under the sun, and if I haven't done it, I'm generally up for trying it. I like to travel. My best trip ever was to Pamplona, Spain, where I ran with the bulls. I have very flexible hours, which is awesome, but weekends in the fall are generally tied up. I love to go out for dinner, but also enjoy cooking at home. I enjoy just about every sport. I'm a runner and have completed 4 marathons and a number of other distances. I'm fairly health conscious, but not obsessive. The first stop after a race is generally a bar to celebrate. Sitting by a bonfire anytime is great, but especially in the fall when there's a chill in the air. The beach is awesome, but I get antsy. I like working in the yard and gardening. I grew up in a house of women, so I even enjoy shopping (shhh!) I will open the door for you, and not just for the first couple months. I'll even do it if I'm "having a moment". I do the little things and the big things, because I like to do them, but I also want to be appreciated for doing them. At the same time I don't mind hanging out and watching a movie. Never married and no children. That doesn't mean I don't want to get married, or haven't wanted to... I never thought it was something that would define me. In other words, it just hasn't happened. That doesn't mean I'm a player, in fact I'm just the opposite. I do want to find someone that will compliment me. I want to find someone who is sweet, thoughtful, open-minded, and knows the difference between funny and clever. I want someone who takes care of themselves, and wants to make me happy, as much as they want to make themselves happy. I want to be wanted, not needed. I have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for, and generally know when I see it. That being said, I don't have a "type". I like a girl that has style. It doesn’t have to be a particular style... just a style that fits her. Sassy, playful, even mischievous are good. Confidence is good, narcissism is not.As far as why I'm here... dating, relationship, or long-term? I guess I'm here to find someone to date, but I've never dated someone I didn't want to have a relationship with and I've never had a relationship with someone that I didn't want to be with long-term. Personally, I don't see the point of "dating" someone if you're not attracted to them. Which leads me back to the player issue, I wouldn't be in a relationship with someone if I wanted to be with someone else. It's pretty simple really. I think this is a silly question. There are so many variables, as with most things... The "date" No better way to get to know someone than ***hours in the car... right? (lol)

    So what to write here? This is the few words that are supposed to get your attention and make you want to know more. Problem is most of us are not very good at writing our thoughts much less telling everyone about ourselves. I like most things outdoors but also have been to many museums, plays, sporting events, races, concerts, even to the symphony. Travel is high on my list and mostly on a motorcycle. I've jumped on a bike and went to another state for lunch. Have been in 40 states and plan to see the rest, every one of them has something neat to see too!Have started to get into photography, I love the new digital age.Like Rock and Blues music the most and when I can I get out to live shows. I used to go with my sons a lot but they are older now and have lives. Going to shows alone is fun but gets old. My goal is to enjoy the hell out the rest of this middle aged thing!
