Its been a long time since I was looking to meet someone and I am just trying to fgure it out. Like everyone, life has served up a few curve balls but I am excited about the possibilities of a new beginning so here goes. ..I am humourous casual intelligent, I work hard through the week and like to kick back on weekends. I am handy (can build and fix things) and traditional..(opening the odd door isn't because you can't). I am compassionate and giving. I like all kinds of music from rock to motown to 40's, 50's, 60's 70's 80's, 90's and new country..no rap please. I am close to my family, have three adult step daughters and am loyal and supportive to my close friends. Can get by fine on my own but would prefer someone to share life with. Would like to share my world and like to learn about yours. I like going out but equally comfortable at home with good food, wine and a couch watching the TV (It seems to me everyone says that...doesn't anyone have chores and "stuff" to do)? Love to get people laughing and manage to generate a fair bit of humour once you get to know me. My home is always open and often a meeting place for friends and family. I guess I am looking for a special someone who understand the work hard, play hard motto. Someone satisfied with their life but want to forge a second beginning. Smart, energetic, fun, comfortable in jeans, shorts and a dress (i guess not at the same time), not too formal or serious but has the intelligence and compassion to care about life and the wit to laugh about it. Able to take some light hearted kidding and presumably deliver it. PS Sure glad this public scrutiny is over ...good luck in your search. First and foremost I am a dad. I am a firefighter by profession and a musician because I love music, all types of music. I sing, play guitar and I'm currently trying to learn piano. I am an avid reader, mostly non fiction but I enjoy a good novel. My favourite sport is soccer, but there are really very few sports that I don't enjoy. I play as well as watch. Love to sail my boat (it's nothing fancy) but being on the water is therapeutic, not saying that I need therapy. I travel as often as possible, usually three or four times per year. Love cooking and sharing a nice meal with people who are special to me. A partner with a sense of humour is a huge bonus but I manage to laugh at myself daily so if you're a little serious that's fine. Just be yourself. I would like to meet a strong, independent woman who knows who she is. Not still searching. Someone who is sexy, fun loving, easy going but with an appetite for adventure. Oh I should mention that I have my own home, my own car, and I do my own laundry. Could use help folding but not a deal breaker. On a first date I would like to spend a little time getting to know each other. Perhaps go to a cafe for a few laughs and some stimulating conversation. If all goes well we'll get a bite to eat, share a little wine. Nice, with no pressure.
