About Me

First and foremost I am a dad. I am a firefighter by profession and a musician because I love music, all types of music. I sing, play guitar and I'm currently trying to learn piano. I am an avid reader, mostly non fiction but I enjoy a good novel. My favourite sport is soccer, but there are really very few sports that I don't enjoy. I play as well as watch. Love to sail my boat (it's nothing fancy) but being on the water is therapeutic, not saying that I need therapy. I travel as often as possible, usually three or four times per year. Love cooking and sharing a nice meal with people who are special to me. A partner with a sense of humour is a huge bonus but I manage to laugh at myself daily so if you're a little serious that's fine. Just be yourself. I would like to meet a strong, independent woman who knows who she is. Not still searching. Someone who is sexy, fun loving, easy going but with an appetite for adventure. Oh I should mention that I have my own home, my own car, and I do my own laundry. Could use help folding but not a deal breaker. On a first date I would like to spend a little time getting to know each other. Perhaps go to a cafe for a few laughs and some stimulating conversation. If all goes well we'll get a bite to eat, share a little wine. Nice, with no pressure.

The Bad *** I grew up rough. I left home before my 15th birthday, lived on the streets and basically raised myself the hard way. After the age of 35 I finished my high school, went to college and on to university while working simultaneously. I am now respected for the skills I carry and the old me is a different person from a long time ago. Some of the baggage I carry from those days are a minor criminal record (which is why I don't travel much), street smarts (you can take the kid out of the streets but you can't take the streets out of the kid) & a 34 year old daughter I've never met (but plan to soon).I very rarely drink and quit cigarettes a while ago.What I'm looking for?Someone fairly active but not too maniacal.
