I'll make this short and sweet like me. I'm 36, No kids.. recently unemployed (flag #1) and I'm a hopeless yet idealistic romantic. I'm not a prude but I do have a strong set of morals and values that I try to adhere. I have traveled the world, taught middle school for 7 years and did some independent consulting and care-giving up until now. Although I would still like to work and am avidly job searching what I really want in life is to be the worlds most bad ass mom/caregiver. I'm a Cancer, we are born to nurture and love with abandon. Some might call me a free spirit or one who leads an alternative lifestyle but I don't like labels much. I have the soul of a pirate and I love the ocean. I feel most calm and serene hanging out on one the cliffs on the northern coast.. LOVE to fish and camp too. I've dated a couple of times on this site and I can honestly say with the exception of one (who is now in jail for stalking, assaulting, and car jacking etc.) we are still friends to this day. I believe everyone has value and friendships are important. People enter and exit your life for specific reasons, we just don't know what they are yet... right? I'm looking for a grown man who is non-judgmental, passionate, likes music, will dance at a wedding, bring me flowers sometimes and wants to find the one special lady for the rest of his life. Hey, I'm not sure if I'm ready for all of this or not but I'm giving it a try anyway. About me: I am an RN. I work for a small home health company out of downtown OKC. Most days, I love what I do. I have been working for the same company for close to 5 years. I have 2 children: my son almost 17 and my daughter is 10. I am not exactly where I want to be with myself but I am working at it daily. I started working out at least 6 days a week and eating healthy a couple of months ago...doing very well with that, but have a way to go. However, I'm already beautiful inside and out. * I was just asked why I chose to put "prefer not to say" on my body type: my response is/was because I am working on that daily and it is changing...therefore I did not answer. As I told the person who asked, "it's a work in progress" ;). My decision to get in shape and one day be "hot" as some men would put it is not for anyone but myself. I've decided that a person can take me as I am or it's his/her loss...I'm pretty awesome, whether or not anyone else consigns :) I am not looking for a "hook up" or a one night stand, so if you are, please keep looking. I don't want to play games or spend time trying to get to know someone who isn't truly interested in getting to know me as a person or for the possibility of a future. I know what I want and what I'm looking for. I do believe in honesty, even when it sucks. I'm very compassionate and affectionate. I love giving attention, and receiving it as well.
