I'll make this short and sweet like me. I'm 36, No kids.. recently unemployed (flag #1) and I'm a hopeless yet idealistic romantic. My parents have been married for over 45 years and they are still very much in love.. That is what I'm looking for, I want it all! I have traveled the world, taught middle school for 7 years and did some independent consulting and care-giving up until now. Although I would still like to work and am avidly job searching what I really want in life is to be the worlds most bad ass mom/caregiver. I'm a Cancer, we are born to nurture and love with abandon. Some might call me a free spirit or one who leads an alternative lifestyle but I don't like labels much. I have the soul of a pirate and I love the ocean. I feel most calm and serene hanging out on one the cliffs on the northern coast.. LOVE to fish and camp too. I've dated a couple of times on this site and I can honestly say with the exception of one (who is now in jail for stalking, assaulting, and car jacking etc.) we are still friends to this day. I believe everyone has value and friendships are important. People enter and exit your life for specific reasons, we just don't know what they are yet... right? I'm looking for a grown man who is non-judgmental, passionate, likes music, will dance at a wedding, bring me flowers sometimes and wants to find the one special lady for the rest of his life. I spent most of my childhood dreaming of becoming a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter. I went to journalism school, graduated with decent grades, and wound up working for a tabloid newspaper. My first story was about a mother-daughter stripper team, which I followed up with a first person account of Nude Awareness Week. But when the nearby psychiatric hospital caught fire, and our front page headline was "Roasted Nuts," I realized a Pulitzer probably wasn't in my near future. But, I really loved that job. And then .... one night, while driving home from a friend's house, I rear- The priest sued me and the attorney who was hired to represent me offered me a job. I worked for his firm for several years and eventually decided to go to law school. Hey, there are worse ways to make a living. Years later, here I am. I am a huge fan of the Phillies and Eagles, and as a season ticket holder, I get to a lot of the games. I believe that Sundays are meant for football...unless it's baseball season. I am a NASCAR fan, and, yes, it's more than just left turns. I am terrified of spiders. I'll try almost anything once. I love my friends and family and am loyal to a fault. By the way, I spent all day on the phone, and am not looking for a pen pal. So let's just cut to the chase and just meet for a drink. The best first date is one that leads to a second date. Meeting for a drink, watching a game is a nice way to break the ice.
