Were the traits I grew up with as a Marine. I have a hard time understanding people now days. I know it is hard for most people to understand but when I was in the Marine Corps I could count on other Marines to have the same traits that I have. I don’t feel that I am wrong but I feel people should at have all or if not some of the same traits that I do. I do understand how some lady’s don’t know what it is like to be with a man that has good traits because I have seen far to many men with more bad traits then good ones. The truth is since I retired from the Marine Corps I have found that I have very few men that are close friends (except for other Marines) because I don’t fully trust them or their way of life, so I can understand how come ladies have a hard time trusting men. I am not saying that I am perfect, I am far from that. Yet I am Honest enough to tell you up front what my faults are and I hope you can except them and be Honest enough with me to tell me yours because I don’t expect anyone to be perfect. And no you don't have to be a Marine to be a good man, but the bad men in the Corps did stick out and they were not allowed to stay long. I am a retired US Marine that spent most of my life putting the Marine Corps and this Nation in front of my own happiness. It was hard to have a real relationships when I was being stationed all over the world and working 24 hours a day to be a Marine. Then after retiring I put my life on hold by moving back to N/E Pa to help take care of my aging mother. When thinking about the fact that I sacrificed everything I have ever loved, I would have to say that I would do it all the same way with no regrets, because what I did in my life was done by doing the right things for the right reasons. Yet, now that I do have some time to spend on myself I do not have the regrets but I do feel all alone. I had no Idea how to describe myself, then an old friend of mine read an old profile and she wrote the following…….As an old girlfriend, this is a man who is beyond words and is definitely old fashioned. He is a Marine through and through, well-mannered, well-spoken. He is a talker and can tell stories.......through no fault of his...he just has a tendency to go for the "damsel in distress." He is sweet and caring, but yet wild and exciting. He loves the simple things like just sitting and hugging and kissing, or taking a ride on the motorcycle for a few hours, or walking hand-in-hand, or going shopping. He loves the exotic things and is very aware of feelings and senses. He is a family man and will do anything for his family or a friend, and he has had many struggles throughout his life.So you ask why I am not with him now? He came into my life and became a part of me but I shunned him away for another way of life...life with him was and is my "fantasy" and he deserves so much more than I can give him. He has put so many smiles on my face and so much laughter in my life, and I know he can do that for someone else...someone more deserving. So, here is a man who likes to talk, likes to listen, is sensitive, is respectful, is caring..... he has had a hard life and has put others first too many times...he has so much to give and is so easy to be with. It does sound too good to be true...but believe me when I say he is the real deal! talking on the phone to get to know each other then I am sure we can come up with something to do.
