I love movies, or anything public for a 1st date, but yes, movies are not exactly a perfect 1st date kind of thing (things don't have to be perfect). I prefer a good hug over a firm handshake. I'm not stressing over anything any longer. No worries. :)

The first date... hmmmmmmm.... well, since this IS the internet and we are all concerned about our safety, security and well-being, I think that the first date should be one of the old tried and true. You know.. .the totally unimaginative but relatively safe meeting at the local coffee house or non-coffee equivalent. Of course, I am also open to one of the many local diners in the area for breakfast (my favorite meal of the day). The sizing up and figuring out if the second date is worthwhile. Actually, to me, the second date is harder. ...... we both know a bit about each other, but still not enough to feel secure. That does make it awkward..... but well worth it if successfully navigated.
