Hello,Originally from Solihull,..warm &.engaging, I`m Downton Abbey in the streets. & .Game of Thrones in the sheets.. more Mock of the Week than Question time (tho I do actually watch question time!).. I am a pretty normal down to earth guy, what you see is what you get.; cooking, walking, conservation, nature, reading, writing, art, crafts, history, festivals and computers. I am a hobby artist and have had a couple of exhibitions in the past mainly working in water colour although not enough to make a living at it. I like movies with my favourite genre's being historic fiction, horror, sci-fi and fantasy, I also have the same taste in books although if I am honest the majority of my substantial book collection are reference and history titles!; rock, folk, uplifting trance, ambient and classical. I have never been married as I have never been 100% convinced of the right person but I would not rule it out. I have a few tattoos and would probably get more. As I have got older I have felt I need someone very much like myself with shared interests, intelligent conversation and a great sense of humour. If I am totally honest I do like girl next door types and blue eyes I find captivating (although not mandatory hehe). I am not interested in wall flowers you need to be at home in walking boots (or wellies) as well as three inch heels! I am 42 years old and have two children (two fantastic boys) who come and stay with me regularly, I was a late starter so they are still young 9 and 5 and as I love them dearly do not expect to be meeting them too soon - told you I have to be 100% sure! I have been told I do not look my age and I try not to act it (I'm quoting others not myself!) I am confident and always smiling, allegedly I have a wicked glint in my eye and a good sense of humour. I am a self confessed culture vulture and would rather spend a day in a gallery or museum than tanning myself on a beach (although a walk through the surf on a warm evening is wonderful).I am a practising pagan (however I don't follow any particular tradition) and have been for nearly 20 years but don't worry I don't preach although tree hugging is a must! I am extremely empathic and can read most peoples emotions and frame of mind like a book. I get a lot of *** apologies if I do not get back to you straight away. I reply to all messages because I'm polite :-)Blessed Be X Wait and see but very much a traditionalist i.e. long walk in the country, a quiet pub for a chat, lunchtime coffee or a candlelit meal are all winners for me (but maybe not eating on a first date kind of interferes with the conversation) :-)

I would describe myself as easygoing and quite good at staying calm under pressure though can be a bit too cautious at times. I'm naturally inquisitive and like exploring around or finding out about new ideas. I enjoy sport, mainly playing football and usually enthusiastically participate in other activities organised by workmates and friends such as ten pin bowling, golf or hill walking.Like most people I do like eating out and in all kinds of restaurants except maybe the vegan ones where it has been quite a challenge choosing anything from the menu. I love most kinds of food in general though don't know much about wine and would only be drinking it if there is nothing else. Enjoy watching films especially those that have you thinking about it long after it ends but a good comedy is probably my favourite. Same goes for television, would also go for scientific documentaries and comedies usually in the vein of Frasier or Peep Show. Currently enjoying the Big Bang Theory series.I do have a surprisingly keen interest in music and have travelled far to see certain groups perform. Wide interest in music, it can be Classical or Industrial, Rock or Pop, Gothic or Techno. I like to be creative with little projects especially those that involves collaborating with other people. Mainly at the moment I do work on music related websites. Open to any different idea but a meeting in a cafe or pub would probably work best.
