So how do you sum yourself up? Going through the process of writing and rewriting this took allot of thought and soul searching. What do I say to accuratelyr represent myself? To represent what I am looking for, there are so many things I could say about myself. The many success's in my life, as well as the failures. Do our failures in life not say as much about us as our success's. Anyone can sit here and tell you how great they are. Though to not acknowledge my failures as well as my success's would make me a fraud and a hypocrite. If you fail, at least you tried. So yes I have failed in love and at times in life. I guess that is what makes me the man I am. When I failed, I immediately got back up to try again. That is what I am doing now. As I have said I have failed , or at least not had much luck at love. I have wondered why, and have tried to improve in those areas. So about me. I guess first and foremost I am a father, brother, son and uncle. I am very spontaneous, adventurous, loyal, dedicated, a survivor, passionate lover, fiercely protective, outspoken, hard headed, (at times) and am not afraid to show my feelings. I enjoy being around people, hanging out with my friends and family is one of my favorite things to do. I like to get out and enjoy life, though I can also be happy at home with the family. I do not do drugs, but I do drink on occasion. I try to never judge anyone, but try to accept them for who they are. I love being outdoors, try to go to the Ozarks as often as possible. I love concerts, dive bars, canoeing, bar-b-que's, or just sitting on the patio listening to the world. As for music? I like country, classic rock, rock and some R&B. I am not into any type of games or drama. Life is entirely too short for it, and I am definately not getting any younger. Though I don't feel my age there is definately no denying it. Are we all not looking for something real. Someone we can talk to, be open with, tell all of our fears, triumphs and heartaches. I know I am. When I think about what I want, the movie "The Notebook" comes to mind. I want a love like that, one that will stand the test of time and endure. So many people have separated because they have "grown apart". What is that? How do you grow apart? If you truly love someone dont you grow together? If we were meant to be exactly the same would we not have been made that way? Isn't it our differences that make life interesting? We ask ourselves, what is it that first attracted us to that special someone? Was it their eyes, their smile, their body, the way they could make you smile or laugh? Then as time moves on you find out the deeper things. Though it is our differences that make it interesting and exciting. It is like taking a vacation somewhere you have never been, you get to see all the things you have never seen. The same is true for a relationship, it is the excitement of the unknown. I revel in my differences, embrace them and accept them. They make me stronger, happier, and more enthusiastic for life. They make me unique. As for what I am looking for in a partner. First and foremost please do not mistake the fact that I am looking for a partner in life. I am not looking for a casual sex partner, a hanger on, or someone who wants something for nothing. I want someone who knows what they want out of life, Someone who is okay with a family. Someone who takes care of themselves, is spontaneous, adventurous, fun filled, has her own mind and is not afraid to speak it. Someone who is ambitious, loyal, honest, trustworthy, a woman who is not afraid to show her affections and emotions. I could go on and on. Though I refuse to settle, I also do not need perfect.
