Sadly I don't find the online dating thing works :-) I've no idea why, there are plenty of good looking women on here and quite a few profiles seem really nice and genuine. For what ever reason, I've had a pop and it just doesn't work. Ironically it was female friends who told me it doesn't, giving their own reasons why they've never met anyone online and it's seldom to do with the 'freak' factor oddly enough.Good luck if you're on here to genuinely find someone, I think with 30 plus hits a week as a minimum from guys, it really can't be hard to find someone :-) Back to the real world I think! ...............

I'm all very new this but it's got to be worth a go as its all worked out for a couple of friends of mine. I'd describe myself as a genuine, honest, down to earth laid back kind of guy. I've got a fairly dry sense if humour but am a glass in half full sort of person.I like to catch a saints game now and then and socialise with friends and family as much as possible. I've got a fairly varied taste in music but I'm not really into clubbing and would much rather go see a live band or a festival. I'm pretty much into most sports and anything outdoors. I'm just getting into kitesurfing and I'm determined to do a triathlon and some sort of daft adventure race this year.I like travelling and hot or cold holidays but need someone to come along to discover new countries, food and cultures. I'm not a sit on beach kind of person although it is nice sometimes, I'd much rather be active cycling or snowboarding.I'm looking for someone who shares some similar interests but who can introduce me to theirs and have a fun time together. Meet for a drink and go from there but I'm open to suggestions...rock climbing, paintball or go ape? But maybe that's a second date idea?

When I was a lad you met in a bar or at work. Always busy at work and don't drink like I used to. I am a straight forward hard working type, I have 3 children who mean the world to me, they live with me 50% of the time and it seems I work the rest :-(. I'm solvent and have a full time job, mates and so on, all in all very busy. Clearly I keep myself active and well read, just a normal guy really. I'm rewriting my future by being on here as I am divorced, nothing ventured? I'm positive as a person and not needy. Thought I'd give this site another go.God this is going to be hard to write about yourself but here goes.I'm a 39 old man who works along side a specialised nursing team proving care and respite looking after children with neurologically disorders and terminally ill within the community. The job can be very emotional and rewarding at times but I love it and wouldn't do anything else, also I believe and know that what you have today, can be taken away from you tomorrow.My friends would describe me as a friendly, genuine person who at first maybe a little shy at first but after a bit loves to entertain people. I believe in having good manners, being polite and treat people how you would like to be treated yourself, these things don't cost a thing but go along way.When I'm not working, my most 2 passions are running and crossfit, being fit and healthy is a big part of my life and would love to meet someone along the same lines.Unfortunately the only photo's I have are from the box that I do crossfit at apart from the odd one, but will hopefully get my friends to take some more of me.I'm sorry but if you message me and I don't get back to you then It's just that I believe that I don't believe we are a match or have anything in common. Howdy, So I'll rattle on for a bit here I suppose.Stuff I like:Music - I love so much & actually make a bit of noise myself including an internet radio show which is in the form of underground dance music. Also grunge rock & some indie type stuff too! I'm pretty much open to most!Films - Can talk films all day :) as a bit of a nerd love Sci Fi, but more important are great stories or stylish/ edgy films. TV -; even some of the silly amercian gash like Big BangBooks-; pesto's & Jams, Getting sozzled with friends, Dark humour, Dogs, kind people.Day trips on my Motorbike.I'm a lover of life & want to share it with someone. Big guy with a big heart, I'm told everyone instantly feels comfortable around me because what you see is what you get & that's someone bringing a little happiness & silliness into others lives. Yes I can be serious, but life is too short for doom n gloom. Lost my mum a little while ago so my brother & dad are a big part of my life, it's always good to have close family you can rely on.What I'm looking for...A spark, a connection etc. someone to share an evening without having to stare at a box, maybe some good food nice wine & whilst we talk we suddenly notice the sun is creeping up.
