Man. 64 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.
Looking for: woman. In age: 43-61
I'm hoping to spring for the membership upgrade in April ***. Philosophy: We raised 3 sons in a really big old house in Amana. There were two of us for ***years. I loved living in Amana and was active in the community and school. Four years ago, I moved to Lansing, IA to be live somewhere with less maintenance, no snow shoveling or mowing. My yard is full of flowers, tomatoes, and peppers from spring through fall. I walk almost every day. I much prefer being outside. I will stop to pet every dog on the trail. I prefer well-disguised exercise like hiking and gardening. I would like to ride my bike more. Not competitive, just for fun. Knitting, weaving, and spinning wool into yarn are my passions. I don't sit still well. I am really bad at sports that require depth perception and catching or hitting a ball. Not a fan of watching sports on TV or in person. I will sit next to you while you watch them on TV and knit, weave, sew. I do love snuggling up to watch a movie or TV show, I’ve always had a professional high-energy job. Planning, designing, implementing, and maintenance to clients all over the US. Coast to coast (Maui in the West) (London in the East). And from Duluth to New Orleans. I’m comfortable in large and small public groups. I've given speeches to thousands. So yea, an Extrovert. Actually an ENTP on the Myers-Briggs. I love weekend getaways and travel to see parks, museums, zoos, history and culture, arts, musicals, dinner theaters, etc. Northern Lights are something I'd love to see, which aren't far away! Camping is good! My sons are my favorite humans and live nearby. I have a granddaughter close by as well. Family is important to me, but they're not intrusive. I am not very religious, though I am spiritual. Romantic, but not clingy, easy-going yet independent. I've taken care of everyone else my entire adult life and would like to find someone who will make me a priority and is adventurous and open-minded. Cooking, DIY projects, and everyday household chores are fun as a team. “I want the real thing” is a fantasy, so is “World Peace”. Smoking is a deal-breaker. To Do: My current vocation is a "Fiber Artist" I have friends all over North & South America. I am a leader in my field. Spinning blends of beautiful wool into luscious yarns. My favorite (and specialty) is Giant Angora Rabbit wool. Blending it with other fiber types, just makes it POW! I am able to fully hand process and have wools in my stash including, Llama, Alpaca, Bison, Many many varieties of sheep, Mohair - Angora Goat. I'm also known now as both a Bunny and a Loom whisperer. Yes, I am a loon, that has a loom, in a room. My friends would say I'm loyal, funny, easy to get along with, sarcastic, quirky, responsible, and having my life together. I'd like to meet someone that is funny and that I can just laugh with. I also only vote on the "D" Liberal side of any ballot. We need more open-minded people, making any policy. I only have one gripe, please make sure your photo is only you, not blurry, in the right aspect. Yea I was trained as a graphic artist, those little things REALLY DO count! I'm very detailed. I see the little things no one else sees. That's what 28 years as an IT Systems & Network Engineer will do to you. But the job is really simple... make the red light, turn green! That's all. Happy to meet, chat, *** all! I enjoy the outdoors, I have another (OK, VERY MANY) hobbies. I love to make natural, wild wine, from locally accessible fruits. My best is the recipe (from the old boys) Amana Rhubarb wine, otherwise known as Piestengel. Pie from "pie plant" and "Stengel" what your mouth and tongue (and possibly your brain) feel. I collect Nuts, flowers, algae, and lichen for natural dyes, for my fibers. Bounty is always around. My son is a profound forager, I know many species to enjoy. I want to push my skills nearer to his. I have also found the medicinal advantages of CBD.
