Man. 59 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.

Looking for: woman. In age: 36-51

UPDATE: I paid to join the site a couple of months ago. I initiated contacted. I acknowledged and thanked for all winks and profile views. Results? Crickets.... So I want to reach out or respond now, but before I sign up to do so, I cannot help but wonder am I the only person to do so and if this is really just a voyeuristic game site? For now, I have not re-signed so I am unable to respond to winks, but I hope you might write and we can establish contact A sense of humor is an absolute must. Someday it is fairly certain we will all be ugly, but even then we can still laugh. I love it when people can bring me to spontaneous laughter (but that does not mean you and I must each have a 30 minute stand up set ready) For people that must know my Myers-Briggs profile, it is ENTJ. If you have taken the DISC assessment, I am a high "I". Some of my favorites: I really love music. I recently formed a band that does a mix of slightly obscure covers from the '60s to now and some originals. We just recently mastered a single we are going to push for local radio play. I have plenty of half-written songs that I might now let see the light of day. I also play in my church band on a regular rotating basis. I truly enjoy cooking. I love the creativity. I love to try all sorts of different cooking styles and have the hardware and gadgets to do it. I do know quite a bit a trivia so am a good trivia team member! Books: I try to read both non-fiction and fiction. I just finished a book called "Tokyo Underground, " which covers some the Japanese mob sites and activities in my days there [a childhood favorite pizza joint apparently was a yakuza mob favorite, too]. I am currently reading "A Man Called Destruction" about one of my favorite musicians, Alex Chilton. I am in progress on some parenting books and this series of supernatural thrillers that was interesting at first and then took a left turn. I feel I must finish what I start! Food: Mexican, Japanese, good oil' Southern country like my grandma made, Thai, Singaporean, Chinese, Vietnamese, all other Asian, French, Italian, Cuban and Caribbean, Indian, Mediterranean, ......basically all food!! Music: Love a variety, mostly guitar-led, strummy, catchy pop-rock that all ties back somehow to The Beatles, and ***s college alternative (think ***s Athens, GA, MTV's "***Minutes";***Big Star, R.E.M., Smithereens, Let's Active, The Replacements, Dreams So Real, Husker Du, Matthew Sweet. The Jayhawks, Steve Earle, The Dream Syndicate, Kim Richey, The Smiths, Cheap Trick, Norah Jones, Marshall Crenshaw, Freedy Johnston, The Cult, Teenage Fanclub, Soul Asylum, Old 97s, Jellyfish, Badfinger, Gin Blossoms, Gigolo Aunts, Emitt Rhodes, Lloyd Cole, The Records, Robyn Hitchcock, The Posies, Peter Frampton, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Simon & Garfunkel, Rolling Stones (more so the Mick Jones years and prior), old Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, and many others I will list later. I have a soft spot for Memphis soul - Al Green, Otis Redding, Aretha, and others. I lived in Memphis for years and that soul groove is in the air and water. Also like other old school funk, e.g., The Gap Band. In country music I tend to prefer female performers over the hat guys who seem to be so formulaic. Old school guys singing their own material like Rodney Crowell or Clint Black are preferable. I formerly went to the symphony often. I enjoy a blues joint, jazz club or a singer/songwriter performance at Eddie's Attic or The Bluebird in Nashville. When I first moved to Atlanta years ago, I went to Smith's Olde Bar frequently. It is interesting years later to have the chance to play there and go see other bands I like. I do have a secret liking for things you might consider poppy or cheesy such as The Partridge Family, The Everly Brothers, Bread, The Carpenters, the Bury Bacharach/Hal David collection, and others. . I do think Taylor Swift songs are very catchy (yes, I admitted that). I have no affinity for Mumford & Sons of that faux-folk ilk. It could be a deal breaker if you do unless you can be reformed! I enjoy catching local bands and supporting local music. For a time, i I often went to area comedy clubs. It is such a differentgreat experience seeing comedians perform live and finding myself laughing straight for an hour Movies: all types. Comedies, Romantic comedies (I get sucked into films like "Love, Actually" without knowing it), Drama, Action, Sci-fi. I find I watch more documentaries on TV and Netflix than I would have thought. I am a sucker for '80s John Hughes films. I am a Sharknado fan (or does that go with TV?) Others include Lost In Translation, The Princess Bride, Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, Fletch, Spinal Tap, Best In Show, Fight Club, the early Rocky's ..... I still think The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite. TV: Again all over the board here. Ken Burns documentaries, Mad Men, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Arrested Development, any number of Food Network or Travel Channel food shows (DDD, Chopped, Anthony Bourdain), Walking Dead, History Channel, Breaking Bad, Archer, The Colbert Report, Mystery Science Theater ***, The Office, Lost, Boardwalk Empire (Prohibition is a fascinating chapter of US history), Continuum (time travel stories always hook me for some reason), some true crime dramas as I am channel surfing, and more that I will add later. I did grow up my kid years in Japan and then later lived and worked across Asia so I have an appreciation of other cultures and I love to travel I am a Christian, and faith is important to me. In this regard, I am imperfect as anyone, but I am working on it.

If I had something clever to say this is where it would be…but I got nothing. Around town, I love going to Braves games, concerts & beer festivals. I play a little bit of golf (try to) and a lot of disc golf - much more user friendly. I'm involved in a Bocce league (yeah I'm a dork), and enjoy any kind of team sport. I'm a very competitive person and hate to lose, but who enjoys losing? I do the bar scene from time to time, but I'd rather be some place where good conversation can thrive. Or, where there's live music. I love the outdoors, particularly the mountains. Don't get me wrong, I love the beach as much as the next guy. Two words...sand castles. The Mon-Fri job is ad-specialty. When time permits I do a little film&video production on the side - it's my passion. I love the arts. However, I'm not perfect. My grammar and punctuation sucks.
