About Me

I have moved over to another dating site. (the "okay" one with the cherub who uses an arrow :***Please - I prefer you find me there since the questions on that site really help me know some important things about you.Hello – I am Julie and I am embarking on a new chapter in my life. My goal is to fill the rest of my years with the joyful experiences and passion. So far, so good!**DISCLAIMER** I believe in absolute honesty – so you should know I am separated and not yet divorced due to healthcare coverage reasons. I plan to have that issue buttoned up by the end of ***so I can proceed with the technicalities of a divorce. My ex moved out well over a year ago and lives in another state. I have a great family and circle of friends who give me strength and love and happiness when I need it most. I return the favor as often as possible. I have three great daughters who mean the world to me and I am very close to each of them. My two oldest are grown and gone- mostly :***but I am raising my 15 year old full time. I stay busy with her activities, but can always find time to meet new friends and my hope is for one of those friendships to grow into the great relationship I know is out there for me.I love simple beauty like a raindrop (not all that simple, really) to elaborate and calculated expressions of beauty like a Mozart concerto. I can be pretty intense and deep when it’s right but I can also kick back with the cowboys eating peanuts out of their shells and drinking beer (minus the beer for me – I stick to sweet, girly drinks) and telling way off color jokes. And just about everything in between. I love music (most genres) and theater and comedy and even trashy TV. I’ Hillbilly Hand-fishing to Downton Abby. I just love to be entertained and am not often too snobby about it, except I don’t think I’d enjoy NASCAR or dirt bike racing…but I’ll try just about anything once.I lean to the left politically and fall into a spiritual but not at all religious category. I tend to be kind of conservative, though, in business and style, so I am kind of an oxymoron. (Emphasis on oxy – not on moron.) Mention the stupid Moron joke in your message to me to tell me you are serious enough about this process to at least read my profile completely. I am not all that interested in becoming a long term penpal here, though I think a few nice get-to-know-you messages are in order before meeting. Then maybe a meeting for coffee or something casual so we can get a feeling for whether or not there is even chemistry…which is pretty important. Then we can become penpals. :) Just kidding. And seriously, after too many surreal experiences here I need to say that I get that this is an online site, but if you want our first conversations to be centered on sex talk, just pass me by. Till then try to remember how you'd want your daughter to be treated on this site. Coffee or drinks and if things go well, maybe a comedy club. No better way to see if you have a match than to see if you share a sense of humor!

I am very easy to get along with. I do not have drama in my life and am ready to be with a man that's honest, dependable, and affectionate. I have two sons***is 21 and the other is 16. I enjoy any kind of outdoor activity and also enjoy going out and being social with friends. I'm happiest when it's warm and there's a body of water close by but, in the winter, there's nothing better than a warm fire (or campfire), friends, a sweetie, and some beverages!***By the way...If you're a liar, a cheater, or just a plain scumbag...please move on......and no...I'm not bitter~ I've just met my share of players and am ready for the real thing.I'm very happy, laid back and fun :) Let's meet for a drink and see if we are attracted!

I love the beach! I am a country girl, I was married for 18 years, divorced and in a relationship for 5 years, now single. I am mostly looking for friends right now. I am a happy person and love living life. I love being outdoors, and having fun. I am ultimately looking for my soul mate, but we have to start off as friends. I love the sun ,, be it at the beach or the mountains! I love dancing and going to concerts, sitting on the deck with a fire or just snuggling on the couch. I am a strong willed person, so don't try to tell me what to do or what I can't do. I am a strong woman, yet need to be held at times. I am a very loving person and for the right person, I will give you everything that I have to offer. I love to paint landscapes and I also make quilts and sell them. I am a huge Steelers fan, and love watching football and please don't try to change my mind about my team. They are MY team and no man will make me stop liking them! lol I am not looking for just a fling, or a one night stand, so if that is what you have in mind, don't bother. I am very romantic and what I am looking for is like the song, All your life, "would you walk to the edge of the ocean, just to fill my jar with sand? Just in case I get the notion, to let it run through my hand? I don't want the whole world, the sun and moon and all it's light, and I just want to be the only girl, you love all your life." and my new favorite,,,,You know I'd fall apart without youI don't know how you do what you do'Cause everything that don't make sense about meMakes sense when I'm with youLike everything that's green, girl I need youBut it's more than one and one makes twoPut aside the math and the logic of itYou gotta know you want it too'Cause I wanna wrap you upWanna kiss your lipsI wanna make you feel wantedAnd I wanna call you mineWanna hold your hand foreverNever let you forget itYeah, I wanna make you feel wantedAnyone can tell you you're pretty(Yeah)You get that all the time, I know you doBut your beauty's deeper than the makeupAnd I wanna show you what I see tonightWhen I wrap you upWhen I kiss your lipsI wanna make you feel wantedAnd I wanna call you mineWanna hold your hand foreverNever let you forget it'Cause baby I wanna make you feel wantedAs good as you make me feelI wanna make you feel betterBetter than your fairy talesBetter than your best dreamsYou're more than everything I needYou're all I ever wantedAll I ever wantedAnd the last one,,,,,,,,,,,,,Tryin' to live and loveWith a heart that can't be brokenIs like tryin' to see the lightWith eyes that can't be openedYeah, we both carry baggageWe picked up on our waySo if you love me, do it gentlyAnd I will do the sameWe may shine, we may shatterWe may be pickin' up the pieces here on afterWe are fragile, we are humanWe are shaped by the light we let through usBut we break fast 'cause we are glass'Cause we are glassI'll let you look inside meThrough the stains and through the cracksAnd in the darkness of this momentYou see the good in thatBut try not to judge me'Cause we've walked down different paths[ From : http://www.elyrics.-square-lyrics/glass-lyrics.html ]But it brought us here togetherSo I won't take that backWe may shine, we may shatterWe may be pickin' up the pieces here on afterWe are fragile, we are humanWe are shaped by the light we let through usBut we break fast 'cause we are glassWe might be all in waterThis could be a big mistakeWe might burn like gasoline and fireIt's a chance we'll have to takeWe may shine, we may shatterWe may be pickin' up the pieces here on afterWe are fragile, we are humanAnd we are shaped by the light we let through usBut we break fast 'cause we are glassWe are glass
