Welll... I am a fine arts student at the U of A. Art is both my hobby and my life. I enjoy body modifications, music of a broad variety (though admittedly i mostly listen to punk, crust, and 80's goth rock hahah). I love cats (have a pretty cute one) anddd i'm typically pretty busy with school throughout the year but i'm back on here mostly due to boredom and the lack of straight single guys in the art world. I'm pretty well travelled, i grew up in New Zealand for most of my life, did a stint in South East Asia as well.. my folks also used to live in the Middle East, so i've done my fair share of travelling. What i'm listening to these days includes The Stooges, The Descendants, Adolescents, Subhumans, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Gang of Four, Fugazi, Rolling Stones, Bauhaus, Neil Young, UK Subs, Choking Victim (and Leftover Crack obv... plenty of others but those are my main favs.In terms of movies i love a good horror flick, any quality gangster movie, thrillers, comedies, sci-fi (bit of a sci-fi nerd). Tv shows..... Ultimately I'm pretty independent and i haven't been in a relationship in eons so i have relatively low expectations of these.. 'dating sites'.. but i try to remain at least a tad optimistic and not entirely cynical. Though i think being cynical is one of my more amusing qualities. I can be kind of funny too... in my own odd way. Would love to just have an intelligent conversation with a smart or interesting fella. Annnd go. Perhaps a coffee someplace. If you're the show-going type i am always down to hit up a live music venue (preferably to go watch a punk/metal/ska/something decent/ show... but i'm relatively open minded).

I feel as if this part of the sign up process is where you would list all the things to write about to attract someone else, whether or not they actually make up your personality. I'll try something different, ( I appologize if im breaking dating site etiquete but bare with me). I like Star Trek, Zelda, camping, animals, quoting every movie I've ever watched and a very dry sense of humor some days. (To the point where my friends want to gouge out my eyeballs to shut me up). I like pretty much all kinds of music, except country...for the most part :P I honestly think it would be nice to go on a couple of dates or even just to meet a few new ppl, i'd describe myself as fairly pleasant a little sarcastic at times, but who isn't these days? :P Hmmm first date what to go with that awkward dinner date where you feel as if your on a quiz show hoping to answer all the questions in a correct way for the grantastic prize which you stop and think about, sometimes its honestly something so silly like a rubber raft you will probably never have the opportunity to use. Movie date, where you hardly say anything to each other therefore defeating the actual purpose of getting to know each other. ( I'll concede they're awesome as a date later, just not off the get go) First dates are honestly just to tell if you're curious to know more or if the person is all wrong for you. My opinion go to a quiet out of the way sit down bar, some place with music to cover those awkward silences, but not so loud that you're shouting at one another. (so much more awkward than a movie, feeling obligated to speak but having to shout) :P Have a drink, calm those nerves which everyone seems to have on these first timers. Worst case scenario you have a nice brewski and a conversation with someone new, with no outside or setting pressures that would make the whole experience more complicated than it needs to be.
