I have never done this dating site thing so don't really know what to say except that...I love to laugh, love adventure, outdoors, snowboarding, camping, bbq's, family and friends. I LOVE MUSIC, love to go to shows, however love cooking some dinner and just watching movies too. I have been a massage therapist and also went to school for nursing, however, still need to finish! I am compassionate and I have a huge heart, however, I also don't put up with the BS. I am looking for someone that is down to earth, non-toxic, can make me laugh, and just honestly loves life! SPONTANEOUS...

Hello there.(Thanks for stopping by. First- if my gut tells me I'm not really interested, I will thank you for the note and wish you the best. It's the most civilized way I can think of to handle that...lots of people get their feelings hurt and are left with questions, so, being upfront here. Also, if your profile doesn't have a pic, or is less than a sentence, I know I will not write back. If you ask me how I am and I don't know what your head looks like, I just don't get inspired!!:) I at least need to know you have a head. A RELATIONSHIP ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE WORK UNTIL AFTER YOU'VE lived together!!!:) so don't make me pull teeth, I have a weak stomach.) I am a caregiver at heart and I have managed to always make my living by being in some kind of caregiving role. Currently I work at St. F.X. University as a resource educator- tutoring/advising students with disabilities/ mental health issues (lots of athletes with concussions too!) I feel most stimulated and at peace (which sounds like an oxymoron) when I'm caring for people.I am very independent, left of center, free thinker. I engage with the world mostly as an observer (as an artist and creative thinker and deep thinker who responds through writing, song writing, playing piano, guitar, painting, drawing). I think I am a sensual person, but I'm not a girly girl. I like getting dirty, wearing rubber boots, making huge fires and burning stuff, planting flowers, and am totally fine with going to the grocery store in clothes that smell like campfire, and have earth ground into the knees. All of you guys say you like being outdoors. I WANT to be more often. I have a truck and want to buy a kayak and a tent. I just don't think my cat wants to go camping with me. Even after promises of singing and playing guitar for her, she seems unimpressed. I love the beach, maybe love the woods more, and rivers. I am into photography and have a small art business. I sell paintings and photos, usually framed by recycled lobster crate wood. I am active in spurts...a seasonal runner, the occasional hike, swim in the lake, I used to lift weights and run cross country. My best skill is listening. I am spiritual to some extent, but mostly irreverent. I enjoy swearing and my nativity set is three snow men coming to visit a statue of a laughing Buddah. I have a degree and a few certificates mostly related to health. My goal is to have a private practice, continue to make art and find musicians to record another album with someday. That said, I need long stretches of time alone (as in hours, not days) to think, write, create, study. I am not exactly sure what my "type" is anymore. Some things you ideally are if you want to send me a note: appreciative of the strange sleeping habits of creative people, not a practicing Catholic, not totally anti-pot smoking, you don't eat junk food regularly, mostly take care of your body, care about your family and friends, I'm not so concerned with whether your eyes are blue, or you drive a nice car...the most important thing to me is that you have an open mind, about most things, and most people. I am extremely affectionate and adore gentleness in all of it's forms. My favourite band is Radiohead. I hate country music. My pictures are three years old...but my hair and body are pretty much the same. What is unique about me (following the formula here) is that I will pour yellow paint over my head for a laugh and not care if it has to be chopped off the next day. Take Care, maybe chat soon.:) Stealing nice rocks and drift wood from beaches you're not supposed to take stuff from.
