I never thought I would use online dating! You too? Being new to town and working in a really small office doesn't allow for me to meet many new people though. I'm looking forward to trying this out though as I've heard quite a few success stories. After reading other profiles I have come to appreciate the ones with lists made. So, here are some odds and ends about me in an easy to read format:- I believe that if you think you may look back one day and laugh about something, why not go ahead and laugh now.- My favorite quote is by Andy Warhol "Sometimes you have to be willing to get happy about nothing." - Family is really important to me. Through my parents’ marriage I have learned what a relationship can and should be. They have been married 40 years and are truly each other’s best friend. - I'm thankful for those early morning talks and that I know how to cast out a line and throw a casting net.- Although when we're ready for some real roller coasters we'll head over to Universal Studios! - I was a cop for 4 years. During that time I did undercover work, executed search warrants, shot guns and Tasers, and tracked down murder suspects. - There is a handicap parking spot directly in front of my apartment. I refuse to park there even if it's the only available spot and I have to drive a building over to park. It makes me sad when other people park in that spot; it's just not right.- I always donate a dollar when checking out at PetsMart. - I can't watch them.- I try to make anything fun! At work I've been known to play the occasional (harmless) prank.’s chair. Hours and hours of fun (well, for everyone but that particular coworker).- Yes I would love to go to the gun range, football game, baseball game, hole in the wall bar, weird restaurant, fancy-pants restaurant, concert, and/or comedy club with you. No I don't have to go with you to your guys night out and I won't text you all night long. Go have fun! - As far as relationships go I think this best describes what type of relationship I want to be in:There is a picture on the internet of a note that a wife left for her husband. Lying next to the note is a nerf gun. The note says "Welcome home from work!! Two things: 1.This gun with ammo is yours. 2. I have one too and you’re under attack as of now!!"How much fun!

I have been told several times that I'm just one of those people who never meets a stranger. I really enjoy conversating and getting to know people but also know when to be quiet and just listen. I have a very dry, cynical, and somewhat sarcastic sense of humor which can sometimes be taken the wrong way at first, but once you get to know me, you will see that it's never meant with ill intent. I have a relatively small family compared to most, but what we lack in size we make up for in closeness. I have some of the best people in the world as friends, sadly most of them live elsewhere, but that's what vacation days are for....road trips! In a potential partner, I would hope for someone who is kind and caring, great sense of humor, tall (at least taller than me, which isn't hard), good communicator, likes to travel, shares some common interests and hobbies. I am kind of old fashioned when it comes to dating. I truly appreciate it when a guy opens doors for me, is the first to call, gives the unexpected compliment or surprise, and initiates advancing the relationship. Well that's a little bit about me, so now let's talk about you?? I think a good first date spot is out for coffee and conversation if things progress from there dinner is also an option and then surprise me, I'm not one for dinner and a movie, since you can't really talk and get to know the person you are with, so what can you come up with????

One of my really good friends once described me as an "Introverted Extrovert", and as far as my personality goes, that's pretty dead-on. Yes, I am very quiet and reserved, and unfortunately a lot of people mistake this as being snobby or aloof. The lucky few who stick around and take the time to get to know me quickly discover that I am not stuck-up at all. They will find that I have a quick wit and am interested in anything and everything, which makes for some extremely amusing conversation and will probably result in a few inside jokes.--was born and raised here and have lived here the majority of my life--and I'm currently working as an office administrator for a real estate company. In the meantime, I'm also figuring out a way to utilize my visual art degree so that I can carve out a niche for myself in the art world. For fun, I enjoy playing WAKA kickball and dodgeball and afterward playing drinking games (flip cup, beer pong, etc.) and dancing the night away with my teammates at the designated bar. I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but I still enjoy classic shows such as Monty Python's Flying Circus and The Monkees. I absolutely have to be home on Sundays when there's a new episode of The Walking Dead coming on. I also enjoy documentaries and shows that will teach me something new, and usually stop the remote on whatever may be on The Travel Channel, The History Channel, Food Network or NatGeo. A lot of random artists share space on my iPod, but I mostly listen to classic rock, classic country, Southern rock, and reggae. Jimmy Buffett and The Beatles have been my unwavering favorites. What I am looking for in a guy is someone who likes to have fun, go out and will be happy to include me in his adventures. Having things in common is always good, but having differing interests is always a great way to discover new interests. Communication is essential. Even if your day has been boring and you have no exciting stories to tell, just a simple phone call or text to say "Hello, how has your day been?" would be enough to make me smile. I am old-fashioned when it comes to dating and relationships, so being a gentleman is a must! Ultimately, I am looking for a Partner who will always be there for me, no matter what, and will include me as an important part of his life. Dinner is always a good staple, and there are so many restaurants popping up on Magazine and Freret Street that I want to try!.. I've also always wanted to do a brewery tour at either the NOLA or Abita Breweries.
