Hi! and thanks for stopping by... I am here hoping to find my best friend, my lover, my confidant and my life companion. I understand that sometimes two people that have similar interests just may not click when they meet. That's OK, that is life! We are all adults here. I am not into weeks of texting or messaging and talking on the phone, if we share the same interests lets meet somewhere, face-to-face, and see what happens! The worst that can happen is there is no "spark"...no harm, no foul, and not a lot of wasted time...If you find someone else or decide we are not a good match, tell me! I have feelings, and it hurts when people just suddenly stop texting/calling/whatever...and you don't have to lie to me!I can weep at a chick flick or cuss out a ref that makes a bad call while watching my fave football team...I am one heck of a cook but enjoy having help in the kitchen too. i am honest, straightforward, rather old-fashioned in many ways, and was raised with an appreciation of the finer things in life, and the value of hard work. I worked hard for 25 years and am paying for it now. lol...everything works, i am just a little slower than I was at 20! I am by no means perfect and am not looking for perfection, just a real man who is perfect to me!I am looking for a man that wants to meet his best friend/lover/confidant and life companion. You must be honest, straightforward, and know how to and be willing to communicate! If you work 60 or more hours a week and want to spend your spare time with your kids, why are you here? just sayin... Being able to dress up for a night at the symphony is a plus...as is knowing how to cook both on charcoal and gas grills! I live with my Dad, and am quite content to continue to do so. I will answer every message that is sent to me, even if it is just to say "sorry, not interested"!. I would NEVER be rude to someone and *** message! Please don't add me to your favorites without sendiing me a message, it confuses me! lol (is he interested? is he not?...) same with the MEET ME feature, just drop me a line for goodness sake! I'm a nice person! If I drop you a line like so many of you say you want if a woman is interested, can you not at least acknowledge that? Even if it is just "no thanks"? I am NOT looking for fwbs or one-nighters. Sorry, I am just not into big-bodied men! I like all music, from Mozart to Metallica, and everything in between except rap and hip-hop. i still love life and get enthused about the good things!Going to the symphony, the theater, out to see a good blues band, a ball game, or the tractor pulls at the fair are some things I enjoy.Walking in the park or on the beach, sitting on the back porch watching the sun rise (or set) are also good times. Road trips are fun too, both planned and spontaneous! I have a great sense of humor and can laugh at myself when I have a blonde moment. I am well-read and never intend to stop learning. I have patience for just about everything except willful stupidity and deception! I am not into the bar or club scene, I just don't drink much, but will go see a good band. I love animals, and have owned many different kinds over the years. I have a valid passport, and would love to see more of the world someday. I enjoy the slower pace of country life and the culture available in cities.I prefer small gatherings to large parties, don't need to have money spent on me to have a good time, appreciate the gift of a compliment when warranted more than a thousand birthday gifts on that one day of the year. Oh God! Oh God! I just turned 52! Crap! When did I get so old?! AARP won't leave me alone. They keep sending me stuff in the mail. I'm gonna get old, toothless! I'm gonna have to hang out at the senior center playing mahjong and gin rummy with old people! Quick, I need a drink!I'm bored! I buy shoes and clothes when I'm bored so right about now I could shod and clothe a small, but very fashionable, village......I might even move on to a new couch. If your out there, hurry up and fall in love with me, keep me busy, because there is a very real possibility that I might have to sell one of my kidneys on line just to pay my bills........I love that feeling of butterfly's in my stomach when I meet that guy. Your heart thumps in your chest, your pupils dilate, you feel breathless and shy and bold and tongue tied, you feel a goofy grin spread across your face all at the same time. I think it's the best sensation a person can possibly experience. I would love a man with confidence, independence and a great sense of humor. A man who can be a little silly at times. A man who kisses me at a red light with his hand on my thigh, someone who can laugh at himself when he does or says something kinda dumb. I love a man who will put his hand on the small of my back while we are walking, a man who, when he looks at me, sees me and only me. I love a man who will give me a nice compliment because he knows it will make me happy to hear it. These are some of the things that I love in a man........A friend told me once that when I talk I do not have a filter. I thought about it for a while and decided that he was right. That's me in a nutshell. No filter. Some peoples mouths literally fall open with surprise when I speak. Or, they look at me with dismay in their eyes. I am feisty, sarcastic, confident, very extroverted and fun. If I tease you that just means that I like you. That's how I show affection. Not sure why exactly.............. I tend to live in the moment and not think to much on the future. (my 401k plan can attest to that. Damn, I really should put more money into it) This really exasperates some people, so be warned. Sometimes I snort when I laugh, not very ladylike, but there it is. Life is pretty damn fun most of the time, so I try to enjoy the moments as much as possible. Small moments, stacked upon one another, make a life........I love..........my Kindle, wearing nice tight jeans, listening to loud music while driving very fast, going for long drives, eating great food, laughing loudly, Burberry Brit perfume, lemon flavored vodka, intimacy, Saturday afternoon's, "The Hammer of the Gods" Zeppelin! The sunroof in my car, digging my toes into hot sand at the beach, sunny days, wearing a new pair of shoes! UPDATE: I've bought a couch! This is what I have been reduced to! No love, nobody to keep me busy and my kidney was just put on e-bay....... Ooooops! I gotta go, just got a bid........Hmmm, a man wants to meet me in the park at midnight regarding my kidney, he told me to bring lots of ice. This doesn't sound good. I nice intimate dinner with wine or beer or ........
